Naomi Osaka looking fierce good for her
Thank goodness I’m wrong.Think Hanyu is going to light the cauldron.![]()
I heard that this is almost a completely new ceremony from what was originally planned.Obviously they scaled down the festivities that were no doubt planned for last summer.
What about French fries? There is nothing more than American than that except for maybe jeans
Yeah, I wasn’t kidding:I am now feeling the need to look up the design of every Olympic emoji ever used.
They're hardly the only ones that didn't give a damn about social distancing. I saw plenty of Australians bunched up too.....and of course the Americans are all bunched up and completely ignoring any semblance of social distancing.
Honestly, even if the athletes are not distancing as some might want them too - it's outdoors, they're masked, most of them are vaccinated, and they're tested constantly. An Olympic Opening ceremony is exciting (speeches notwithstanding), and people may have gotten a bit carried away. It's human. They're hardly the only ones that didn't give a damn about social distancing. I saw plenty of Australians bunched up too.
Apparently Kevin Durant was IG live during the ceremonies and spontaneously interviewed several fellow Team USA members. Good stuff!
I think it was the badminton racquet, and I felt bad for him too. I immediately decided I had not seen that just because the whole segment was so coolI loved the pictogram section too.. made me think of blue man group! I was sorry he dropped the tennis racket though ,but quick recovery!
I agree. Watching it right now and loving it!I guess I'll be in the minority here but I really enjoyed the Opening Ceremony this morning. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to come up with something appropriate for the times we're living in now and I thought Japan did a wonderful job.
