I’ve spent the past two nights rooting feverishly for skate… boarding.

Two silver medals for Brazil, including the 13 year girl who went viral for skating in a fairy costume, Rayssa Leal.

It’s like figure skating jumps if one could take the skates off and flip them before the landing.

The men’s synchro diving is on now. :grope:
I love to watch but there are certain dives/jumps where I'm always afraid they'll hit their head on the springboard. I'm sure there's enough space in between but the camera angle makes it look so close.

Just caught the tail end of the Women's Skeet Shooting final - yay for the USA! Another gold, with ITA and CHN winning silver and bronze. Now watching the diving.

Fell asleep during beach volleyball and just woke up to see the GB duo win the gold in 10m platform diving. Congrats to them!

Crying again at Tom Daley in the replay on BBC1. I think it's because we have watched him grow up in front of our eyes and go through so much; losing his father who was so dedicated to Tom's career and at such a young age, coming out, being such an incredible advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, persevering after being written off and overcoming the nightmare of Rio. I can't think of anyone who deserves this more.

This is the first Olympics in Asia that I'm watching from the US and boy, do I find it confusing and the broadcast back and forth of live events and events from the previous day doesn't help.

I always feel slightly guilty when we beat up on a team like that in Sevens. Sorry, Korea. We probably didn't have to make it 42-5 but the points differential matters.

I've been trying to watch dressage, but someone at Channel 7 has forgotten to flick a switch on their stream.

So I'm watching Australia vs Netherlands in water polo instead. Go Stingers!

Australia beats the Netherlands 15-12! What a great game. The Australian goalie was on fire!

I couldn’t stop thinking about his father who was clearly so devoted and loving to Tom. He would be so proud. 😭
