oooooh. I like how it’s a little later this year so I may be able to comfortably watch at home for the last two days!

My birthday is the 26th. I have a long wishlist for birthday gifts, and it all has to do with Russian Nationals.

Sotskova will not be attending for health reasons
Oh no; what does health reasons mean? Any details?
Well, based on her season maybe better for her, but I just wished, she could erase that picture of last season's knc outta my mind :(

Get well Maria!

For those interested: Talalaykina is next in line; but I have no clue if they just chose someone or go down the RC ranking.

Time conversion for EST is 12 hours. Any word about streaming services. I have no problem getting a short term subscription to TVTeka if need be or a short term VPN.

Looking at her social media, it is not an injury. She is very active, attending various events (entertainment. like museums and fairs). In Russian the word "health" could also mean "general well-being", which can also mean "balancing weight", "handling emotional issues", etc.

You were saying how Valieva wasn’t injured, and postings photos of her at the rink...and now she said in an interview that she got back on the ice only very recently. Assessing from photos whether someone is or is not injured does not produce very accurate conclusions.

Do we know yet when the full list of entries will be published? Has the coaches' council already met?

The photos were at the time when she already was past the "problem" and they (the photos) were not "walking around" but in the rink's GYM training on a gym-cycle...

see the cycle? see the legs working?... :D

Oh gee... she blimey won, with clean and near perfect skate.. :D

She says she came back on the ice only three weeks ago. http://www.blossomonice.com/kamila-vaileva-interview/ So either she lies, or you were wrong when you claimed that she wasn’t injured. She must have been and she wasn’t skating if she says so. So which one is it?

By the way, the fact that she posted a link of her doing a few second on gym cycle doesn’t really mean she wasn’t injured and wasn’t training. A few second of cycling on the bike, it doesn’t really prove much. The bike training at her rink gym could have been her physiotherapy.

The official entry list will probably have some significant changes. For example, Zabiako/Enbert are on the unofficial list, but there's no evidence that they've even practiced since the summer. Also Mukhametzianova/Mironov already said they weren't doing seniors and will instead concentrate on doing well at Junior Nationals.

The unofficial list contains everyone who qualified. It is not done by anyone in official capacity, so they wouldn’t know who withdrew or decided not to compete from any reason. But it is good enough for our prediction contest.

Stolbova/Novoselov and Kolyada are out of nationals.
Good news for Balabanova/Sviatchenko, they are definitely in.
If Mukhametzianova/Mironov and Zabijako/Enbert don’t compete, the next two pairs in the queue are Sobinina/Volodin and Kostiukovich/Ialin.

Such as Zagitova withdrawing.
Stolbova/Novoselov and Kolyada are out of nationals.
“They will miss the Russian championship. Novoselov has an injury, he struck his leg in training,” Gorshkov said over the phone.
“Misha [Kolyada], as he left for treatment with sinusitis in September, he still hasn’t gone out and hasn’t practiced. He will start training no sooner than all the New Year’s holidays, therefore, of course, he won’t perform at the Russian Championship. Treatment and procedures are ongoing. As for the future plans for the season, there is no understanding of how he will perform, because he does not skate for four months - this is a very long time. When he goes to training, then it will be clear," [coach] Chebotareva said over the phone.
