I have always found her skating likeable but this SP brings her to a higher level.

Their coach said the song was about the coach doing things her way, and Moskvina has been around more than 10 minutes.

I know Moskvina has been around forever....that is why I was surprised by the choice of music. I will watch an entire competition just to see Moskvina peeking above the boards.

Moskvina IMO has always done things her way...........and she is genius.

Loved Lim's programme - but she keeps her free foot very low on the landings of the jumps - I wondered if a couple particularly the 3F were double footed.

Tursy having a messy skate 3S (looked intentional) popped Lutz, down on two jumps (3lp and the back half of the 3S+3T (pos < on the T) combo) and kind of skating through the music except in the footwork at the end.

Med - don't think I like the costume. 3Lz, 3S and 3F (looked like she thought about combos on S and F but decided against. Step out and hand down on 2A. All the jumps had a laboured feel on the landings - all slow to get the free leg back and in position (maybe she was thinking of trying a Lp on the back of some of those jumps?).

Also skated through the music.

I think she had a flip-toe planned? But you could see her nerve just desert her right there, and after that things got a little hairy. It's a pity, but hopefully next time out she can get her mental game in order.

I was wondering if she was sick or injured...not that people can’t have off skates but she was so good at Autumn Classic and her jumps didn’t really look labored. Here it seemed like they were struggling to just get up in the air...so I was wondering if something was wrong.

I'm not a big fan of Boi/Ko, but the Russian pair dynamics this season is going to be really interesting with Zab/Eng out. Russian nationals in pairs will be as interesting as the ladies in regard to selection for Euro and Worlds teams.

Yes, and unfortunately, for me at least, the LP theme doesn't work nearly as well as the SP or last season's Nutcracker program.

I'm dismayed to see Peng struggling again with the SBS 3T (she had it so well last season!), but this should still be enough for an easy win for them.

Peng/Jin's program is gorgeous and has the potential to be magical by Worlds. Her jumps are always a risk, but the movements on the ice are really interesting.

Adore Eunsoo Lim! What a lovely skater! really like that she is using Sabrina for her free skate as well, beautiful music that really suits her. I hope she has a strong season. She’s the kind of skater I want to see more of. Medvedeva has improved under Brian, but, I don’t know, there’s something about her line that always looks off to me.

Kerry's SP has amazing snark potential when performed at larger events later in the season. It's also proof that Nikolai Morosov should be banned from coaching and choreography (for numerous reasons and--on a serious note--I will never support any skater who chooses to keep Morosov in business).

I've wondered why more skaters don't use exotica/lounge/tropicalia type music, but if this is how they're going to use it . . . I can stop wondering.
