2019 Canadians - Saint John, New Brunswick

From: https://skatecanada.ca/2018/01/2019...ating-championships-headed-to-saint-john-n-b/

Skate Canada announced today that the 2019 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships will be held in Saint John, New Brunswick, from January 13-20, 2019, at Harbour Station.

Any room at the inn @Dave of the North ? :)

LOL, we'll need to add a six bedroom wing for everyone. My sister-in-law has first dibs on the spare room (and if her sister-in-law comes too there goes the couch. )

ETA: not sure of the rat situation at Harbour Station, though the Saint John semi-pro basketball team used to be called the Mill Rats. Now called RipTide.

Bumping up and re-posting @Sally1214's question in this thread that was started earlier:
Just heard that the 2019 Canadian Nationals are in Saint John, NB. Does anyone know how far in advance of a Nationals event that tickets usually go on sale?
The press release, linked in post #1, states at the end:

"Join our exclusive mailing list to receive event and ticket information for the 2019 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships."

@Sally1214, I just checked the 2018 Vancouver Nationals thread and tickets went on sale last year through Ticketmaster on Thursday, June 22, at 10:00 a.m. (PT).

I joined the mailing list. There are two Provinces/Territories on the drop-down list that I've never heard of: WE and NAKED.

Actually they didn't go on sale until November. It was really late this year!! The previous year for Ottawa's nationals, I believe they were on sale in early Summer, but that's just going by my memories etc....but this year's nationals were super late for ticket sales...

I bought my ticket on June 25, 2017. The presale where they assigned seats was a few days earlier.

I bought my ticket to Skate Canada 2018 (Laval) in November.

Hey y’all, check your e-mail. The pre-sale started today at 10:00 am Atlantic time. Fan pre-sale code is glide2019. You can pick your own seats, but I had to use Microsoft Edge to get the seating plan to come up. Would not work in Chrome.

I couldn't get it to come up in Chrome either but it worked in IE. Go figure. Anyway, bought 2 tickets in section V, Row 5. If you choose the option of printing your own tickets at home, the confirmation email for your order will say the tickets are attached in a pdf file. There is no attachment. I called Harbour Station and they said the tickets will not be available until around Sept. or so. They will send a separate email with the ticket pdf file at that time.

I might be able to go depending on my health sitiation. I live in Nova Scotia so not too too far

We bought ours, but still haven't gotten a confirmation email. Weird.

Surprised how early they went on sale this year, compared to the last three Nationals.... Halifax went on sale in April.... Ottawa was in early summer IIRC and Vancouver didn't go on sale until the fall!

Thanks!

Found it there...

It said that there was an attachment (e-ticket) in the email but mine didn't have any attachments...did yours?

Anyone know when/if single sessions will go on sale?

I think I am going to wait until later to purchase tickets.

I have bad visions of buying an all event ticket and not being able to make it because of weather.... :shuffle:

Bumping this up for @WanderlustTO who was looking for this thread in which to post a question. :)
Thanks Sylvia! (and sorry - after I asked you about this I then went away).

We have tickets for this - but waited too long to book a hotel so are stuck at Hampton Inn & Suites (we're two women travelling together and want separate beds. If you're going to the nationals and are fine sharing, Hilton still has rooms).

For anyone not happy with their accommodation and wanting to upgrade, apparently SC has a hold at Delta they're releasing about Dec 9/10, around there. So I just wanted to share that w/ ppl.
