It is not Lu/Mitrofanov’s doing that Kostiukovich/Ialin skated so badly.
I'm sure most people didn't expect a U.S. junior pair to skate so well to finish ahead of a talented young Russian pair that had an off day. :p
Do they have spots for the event? They are not listed for Bolzano, and it does not look like there are any other US men to exchange places with....
Yes, both Torgashev and Hiwatashi were confirmed on USFS' Assignments page recently and are listed now: https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/th...ano-italy-oct-11-14-2017.101962/#post-5148397

Ladies standings now updated after 6 events: http://www.isuresults.com/events/jgp2017/jgpsladies.htm

Current top 4:
Alexandra TRUSOVA RUS 15 + 15 = 30 (394.01)
Daria PANENKOVA RUS 15 + 13 = 28 (382.35)
Anastasia TARAKANOVA RUS 15 + 11 = 26 (362.25)
Mako YAMASHITA JPN 11 + 13 = 24 (356.79)

Competing in Italy:
Alena KOSTORNAIA RUS 15 (197.91)
Sofia SAMODUROVA RUS 15 (187.86)
Nana ARAKI JPN 13 (183.00)
Rika KIHIRA JPN 13 (180.46)
Ye Lim KIM KOR 9 (163.49)
Young YOU KOR 9 (163.42)
Ladies update

Trusova (15 + 15 = 30) Panenkova (15 + 13 = 28) and Tarakanova (15 + 11 = 26) are locks for the final. Only two more Russians have a chance at the final (because they will have only sent five ladies to two events). Samodurova (15) is scheduled for Italy. Kostornaia (15) will likely replace Guliakova (13) at Italy. Both Samodurova and Kostornaia only need to be on the podium to clinch a JGP final spot.

Japan will get at least one spot in the final.* Yamashita (11 + 13 = 24) is still in contention and Japan's big guns Kihara (13) and Araki (13) are scheduled to skate in Italy. If these two skaters could knock one of the Russians off the podium and go 1-2, then two Japanese skaters would qualify to the final. If Russia goes 1-2, and the Japanese skater is 3rd, she'll be in a total score tiebreak with Yamashita.

*Unless something crazy happens like Young You (9) or Ye Lim Kim (9) winning gold and both Russians still finishing in the top 4 while Japan finishes no higher than 3rd.

It's as official as it can be, having just been updated with the results from Gdansk. "Final official" will come after the results from Italy are in next week.
:D US Junior team is half-Russian...:p

The fact that the US guys don't have an "X" by them seems to be some sort of typo. If you drill down into the event itself, they are listed.

Got it! Thank you! will do.

Have you seen a non-Russian with a name "Misha Mitrofanov"?... :D
I think in the US PC world it is called "Russian-American"....;)

I just want to see all the Russian ladies, pairs and dance teams together so I can stick in my mind who's who. Right now, Trusova, Tatankanova, the dance team S/E with their voidy FD, and Boikova/K are the only ones who stuck in my mind, but I missed most of the last three JGPs.
