Vash, many posters have attempted to explain that the Democrats are "doing their job"; as well as how and why they are proceeding as they have/are. That you don't agree. doesn't mean that nothing is happening.
At the moment, I'm sure that there are things being done that we are not privy to...
The Watergate hearings are available online; and make interesting viewing for those who never saw them.
One of my senators, Edward Gurney; a member of the committee, got caught in nefarious activities, lost his seat/was disgraced.
To this day, I bless John Dean; and all the others who exposed Nixon and his henchmen for what they were.
I'm angry that Nixon has been largely "rehabilitated" in the public's mind.
He was a crass and evil person, in every way.
In an interview with Don Lemon/CNN, last night; John Dean praised Pelosi's handling of the situation; said they should continue investigating/gathering intelligence, and wait for Trump to quote: "hang himself", as he surely will.
Personally, I'm much more liberal/left than some of my posts suggest.
My main priority is to support the Democratic candidate who is able to gain the confidence of the electorate; and defeat Trump.
Most of the people who have presented themselves thus far, do not seem to have a realistic chance...
The difference was that Nixon/his associates were confident that he would be convicted and removed from office.
Attaining the 67 votes needed to do that; in the current scenario, is highly unlikely.
I also believe that Ford's pardon of Nixon was part of an arranged resignation "deal".
The majority of the electorate does not support impeachment, thus far.
Pursuing it "aggressively"; at this time, only plays into Trump's hands.
He will continue to present himself as a "victim".
His supporters believe that, already.
Democrats should continue their investigation; proceeding...
If you cannot support the Democratic nominee, whoever they may be; we will surely have four more years of disastrous Trumpian leadership.
As it we need more evidence that Trump is unfit for his office...
An amazing champion; in every sense:
