There is no listing for Brendan Kerry in the men's event. I hope he isn't injured or sick.

Australia may now have to qualify later this year in order to earn an Olympic berth in Beijing.

Based on the wording the ISU put out a few weeks ago, these initial entry lists were going to be the big indicator of whether the event counted as Olympic qualifying part one-- and with that, we are seeing huge rosters. Unless there is an extreme last-minute complete event cancellation, I'd say one of the Australian men (Kerry or whomever else) definitely needs to go to Nebelhorn.

Maybe it was him with the arm in a cast, rather than Harley posting a picture of himself? I'm not great at faces at the best of times and Instagram stories go by so fast...

Yesterday I had someone from an obscure figure skating FB page message the ISA FB page (which I manage) asking about Brendan.

I am not aware of anything but it would be up to ISA to release an official statement. I checked the page the person was from and there were comments about it and the person had made a comment seeing if they can find out further information. Nice try thinking by contacting "ISA" that someone is going to tell some random individual unofficial information because they are curious.

Sorry to hear Brendan is injured.

Skater's bodies really do take such a hammering, and to sustain that level of jumping over many years really take its toll.

It's a shame Australia doesn't have anyone in the men's division quite at Kerry's level (yet) to substitute for him in Sweden.

Interesting because last years there was information she was going to skate for Finland with Hector Giotopoulos-Moore. But since there were no real competition season they were not in any competition. It should mean they are free to skate for Australia.

I don’t know why but I still think about Katia and her life. And the final note she left. I find myself thinking about her very frequently.
