I'm more talking about pictures where neither of them are in costumes or full performance makeup.
Nah. You can easily tell them apart, Sinitsina is definitely more whitish blond and angular. Sasha is less angular and has more golden hues.

Has there ever been another skater with as great of a stretch as Valieva? Those limbs of hers!

Sasha Cohen, Oksana Bauil, somebody help me....she is adorable but she humps her back as she does her crossovers and she skates fairly small. With all this hype I was sort of expecting more....Some of the juniors have much more interesting programs.

^I think Valieva Has better stretch than Cohen. Perhaps bc she has longer limbs and a more slender build so it looks that way.

To me sometimes it looks awkward and overdone on Kamila. Sometimes less is more. There is a thing to be said about the subtlety of Karolina Costner.
As I recall, Caro didn't have that subtly when she was Kamilla's age. She looked like Bambi on speed as she zoomed around the rink. Sometimes people forget that it took many years for her to reach the skater she eventually became.

True. And one day Valieva will be that skater persons seem to be hyping her up to be to me she's a good skater with great flexibility and the traditional musicality the specialists like to see, but does she grab me like the ladies I mentioned,no. Her programs are safe and beautifully skated but nothing that we haven't seen before for all the hype that is.

More like, all we hoped she wouldn't be, but knew she was.
Indeed. But I do hope she switches off the tap now and just focusses on the skating. Because you know Eteri is itching to start that cat fight and then Plushenko will just escalate things.....what am I saying? Let the Hunger Games begin :). The gift that just keeps on giving.

A bit worried about all these injuries, hope we're not seeing a negative effect from starting up again after such a long layoff.
Tarasova/Morozov withdrew because their FS was not quite ready. Alexandra Stepanova is back in Moscow and her coach said they will start practicing this upcoming Monday.

Thanks. I found Anna flat and tight though. Bland programs really from Eteri. Fascinated by Aliona. The showmanship she possesses is off the charts.

Anna and Camila were the two best skaters in the SP at this event, judging by comments on the Russian sites and in actuality. Trusova was clean, slightly more expressive than usual. The rest of the Ladies messed up on jumps, in various ways, even Kostornaya.

I loved Anna's programme, she said in the post-skate interview that it supposed to be more calm and restrained because it is about a "loss" (Anna's rescue dog passed away recently after battling cancer). Camilla was just perfection herself, smooth, floating and limber. Sasha was powerful with clean solid jumps and more expression in the upper body.

Anyone who is annoyed with Eteri's success finds something wrong with the programme.... it's a standard practice with fans. But it does not stop her from winning..... :)

Okay, to each their own. But my favourite was still Aliona, just love the freshness. I like being surprised. I've re-watched it several times, the others I've already forgotten. But I'm excited about the free dance. That will be more difficult. I wouldn't be surprised if she withdrew, she hasn't had much time to prepare.

Does anyone know the music each young lady will be skating to tomorrow?

The info from Russian chats (from those who are in the arena) - Kostornaya withdrew from FS, she will not participate tomorrow.

Kostner has subtlety? The same skater who relied on sashaying her butt during Bolero?

So it's still a program to Eilish but a different one? That's even weirder to me tbh. (obviously I haven't watched the skates yet!).
