The jumps weren't great today, but she skates with a lot of attack. Really enjoyed that.

Surely she didn't attempt three double axels, right? Regardless that was the best I've seen her skate in a long time! She should be happy with that.

And I have so much respect for her--skating all these events, always by herself, never with a coach or anyone else.

Solid effort today. I couldn't help but wish Grm could have had those axels, though. :)

PCS lacking compared to the others in this group.

Elzbieta KROPA doesn't have the FS min for worlds, so now we will see if it was enough.

No, it was not

so much power and attack in the footwork :swoon:

Awesome skate! Power and performance. I'm choosing to blatantly ignore possible underrotations. :p

Awwwww shit, 48.11 TES.

She laughs as she see the scores. Love her!

But still a well-deserved lead, and cracks 150.

She's so much more watchable than Ostlund or Algotsson.

I thought I remembered reading somewhere here that Challenge Cup is a skate-off between Toth and Lang for the Worlds spot, as Toth failed to achieve top 15 at Euros?

They're less than a point apart. :watch:

Lang
Malaguena

3Lz2T2Lo ok
3F2T
3Lz good
cool transition from spiral to choreographic slide
2A3T fully rotated, free foot down quickly
3F
nice attack and musicality in the footwork
3S ok
2A into a spiral, nice

Awesome! :cheer: So much energy and attack. The jump technique is kind of questionable, but everything else was great. Thoroughly enjoyed that.

I don’t think Lang has the new tech minimum in the short, and she didn’t get it here either. :( (She did have it before)

Awesome skate! How exciting to see her finally put it all together! @Jeschke

So much quality there, just not the jumps, but the basics and speed.

The crowd is screaming so loud

Only attempting one lutz now. Meh. I really like her and I like this program, but vastly preferred Lang today. So much more energy and speed.

So, let's see SCHIZAS today, but yesterday I preferred SCHIZAS by a mile. As she is not on the minimums list I suppose she needs the FS minimum too

On top of soundly beating Bausback, I’m pretty sure she also just scored higher than Pineault did at 4CC (yes different events panels etc... but a 3-3 in the short and a mostly well executed 6 triple free).

Very interesting choice here for Skate Canada.

Yes, Schizas now has the highest total international score of any Canadian lady this season (with the usual caveats about comparing scores and especially re ISU championship vs B event scores).

and 4CC was highly overscoring skaters this year
