Having just a quick glance of the first event, COR I really would not bother.
Just one event live, the men's SP & delayed highlights of the ladies free & Gala. Nothing else.
No pairs or dance coverage at all.

Strange because they had scheduled extensive coverage but it's disappeared again sadly.

Just excitedly checked the Eurosport planner and it's wall to wall snooker in the U.K.:(

So the first two events had abysmal coverage with repeat after repeat of the same two segments and a really crappy highlights programme, but Cup of China has every single event live :cheer2:

Yes it's been great even the camera work much better than last year:)

Well they aren't Eurosport's cameras so when I disagree with your statement I'm not dissing them. The supersky overhead on the compulsary step portion of some of the short dances makes it impossible to see what their feet are doing - which is the whole point of that segment. The supersky camera does nothing for the intricacies of the Pairs lifts, or solo skater spins, etc. Down with supersky camera!

They were doing so well and then it looks like the coverage is a bit spotty for Skate America...is it the time difference or is Skate America split over three days unlike the other GPs?

Coverage of Skate America is invariably shitty on Europsort because of the time difference.

Time difference is no excuse. They manage okay for other events like US Open Tennis. I can't see any coverage of the ice dance event.

Eurosport is a for profit channel. There is a lot more money in broadcasting the US Open than there is an ice dance event from Skate America, sad and all as that is.

It's time Eurosport added specialised channels like Sky do. A Winter Sports channel would be welcome.

Sky and Eurosport are not really comparable at all. Eurosport only recently added a second channel, and they still make more money switching to shopping at night than by showing sporting events live. If they're not even filling all the broadcasting time with sports, they're not going to start another channel.

But during the next Olympics there is talk of other Discovery owned channels like Quest & TLC showing events, so the need is there. Plus plenty people I know would subscribe to a specific channel from Eurosport like you can on Sky. If the demand is there than sooner or later it would make sense to add other channels. Plus, Sky channels don't have new or live content every night & they still have many subscribers.

Thanks for the info. All I could get was the Eurosport website, but I think it was the International one.
