First of all huge congrats goes to W/P..

With Tessa and Scott unofficially retired, W/P stepped up in a major way without skipping a beat, and took the torch from Tessa and Scott. Over the last few years they've worked their butts off and addressed the areas in their skating that required attention. At this point they will be one of the 2-3 teams vying for world title next year. Canadian ice dance is in great hands.

No. They are roommates though. They must have a great relationship to be able to work AND live together.

I am so mad the judges did not give Andrew & Kaitlyn the gold they deserved. Congrats on their silver though. They had better win the next 2 world titles, they deserve them! And a medal at the 2018 Olympics.

    :rofl:Happy Birthday to Kaitlyn!

I believe W/P are skating in the 75th Anniversary show for the Kitchener-Waterloo Skating Club today. I'll keep my eyes peeled for photos/videos, especially because they tweeted about having a new show program made a couple of days ago!

The didn't skate their new show program at Ice Show. They skated 42nd Street and the Native American one, which surprised me because in the morning rehearsal they appeared to be skating to something else... don't remember what. They skated great in the show though. :)

They have good assignments. Excited to see them potentially have a great and dominant season.

Weaver & Poje have a good chance to go undefeated this season. The only events they are going to be in that they aren't certain to win are the grand prix final and worlds. I have faith and confidence they can win both though.

Seems to be a very slow summer, in some ways.

I'm so happy they decided to go classical! While this is a style that most skaters overuse, W/P have yet to really attempt it, and I can't wait to see them try! Good for them for trying something new. A few years ago this choice would have concerned me, but they have acquired such wonderful control and refinement the past few seasons that I have no doubt that they will be successful. It will be really nice to see them attempt a more muted style than their usual. I'm SO EXCITED!!:D:D

I am too!!!! :D They're one of my favorite ice dance teams currently; and I love how they're always willing to try something new!! It makes them especially interesting to watch from season to season, imo. It will be neat to see them do a classical piece with a flair - I just really want the season to begin already, haha

I ran into Andrew's dad over the weekend. I asked him if he could give me any hints about their music but he said no - because he couldn't remember the names lol. He tells me that they will start with Oberstorff this year. Can't wait to see what they have for us!
