The Biebs mentions are going to get soooo old!
I think country girl Danielle has a nice voice, but am I missing something?
She wrote it after she was blasted in People magazine. It basically says, I'm rich and you aren't.
wait until he starts trotting him out like michael jackson did with webster, both couples looked hinky to me
for the guy who's mom has cancer. This heart breaking. It will be if no one turns around.
I'm glad that the judges aren't swayed for a sob story, but I'm glad Usher turned around.
I like this dude! He's got his own spin on things.
I like guitar guy! I could have seen him choosing Adam.
This is...unique. I feel like maybe he's doing a kind of quirky interpretation of LMFAO because he's not really good enough to sing a song straight. He's definitely a performer, aka, cannon-fodder.
Adam is very particular. He's looking for specific style and voice. Guitar guy was good and will benefit from the coaching. Blake has an eclectic group now. It's funny how the non-country singers go with him now because they know if they go far, he'll take them on tour with him and really help their careers.
Interesting family for the young bluegrass girl. She seems older than 15 years old when she speaks.
I agree that the best part of The Voice are the audition rounds. Once the battle rounds begin, I always go, "Huh? Why did the judge pick him/her?"
Oh dear... and yeah, not impressed with that, who were the execs who gave this guy a deal?
at the expressions on the other judges' faces when they realized that it was not a girl but falsetto guy.
I loved Falsetto guy, but I love a high tenor voice on a guy. Pavarotti and Franki Valli....
The Voice is heart wrenching.
DO NOT PICK DEAD BABY GUY.
How can they mix such a great voice contest with such drecky back stories. Unless your backstory is music related, I don't want to know it.
I forgot how much I love the battle rounds on this show. I didn't watch it in the fall (I wasn't home most nights it aired) but I've really enjoyed tonight's show. The banter is still awesome even with the newbies!
handsome james is handsome, but i wouldnt turn w/o knowing that
Well okay then. Tell us how you really feel.
No sob stories! You can sing, or not. I don't care about your back story.
Since the judges aren't aware of the back stories, they don't bother me.
I've seen the video clip of the singer they love. She's going to be one of the finalists. Or should be.
Note that if the back story is especially , they typically don't get picked. The producers want to twist the heartstrings. I think the statistics of viewers who do like the backstories is sufficiently high that they continue to do them.
Some of these stories are so heart-wrenching, it makes me uncomfortable. Incredibly shy, picked on, alcoholic, skated for Azerbaijan, fine. But I draw the line at dying moms and dead babies.
I got a good laugh that I posted my reaction at the same time as yours. It's like the the people who love fluff pieces during skating competitions, and the ones who want to get back to the action..
I did feel sorry for the guy at the beginning whose bandmates had died.
I actually side more with those who cringe at the stories. I just feel so bad for them.
And now- they have the saddest and best backstory ever. They have to take a woman who sang with and for Michael. Wow.
She's really good
I really hope you're being sarcastic!
I don't remember having so many sob stories on the Voice.
