As pop/rock music has been the dominant form of music for the last 50-60 years, it has obviously had a considerable impact on figure skating. This is borne out by the fact that programs have been constructed around and performed to the music of most of the biggest selling pop/rock artists.

This is a list of the biggest selling pop/rock artists of all time. And here are some of the programs that have been performed to the music of the top 10 on the aforementioned list:-

Some of these may have been mentioned already...

    The Beatles
    D/W with Eleanor Rigby

    Elvis Presley
Coomes/Buckland skated to an Elvis medley last season.

    Michael Jackson
There was the year when it seemed like every other skater had a Michael Jackson program - I remember Amodio and Verner did, and I know they were not the only ones.

    Pink Floyd
Remember the dueling Great Gigs in the Sky in 2009? Well, never a direct duel, because DelSchoes only skated the first half of the season and V/M the second.
That same season, Mukhortova and Trankov skated to Nobody Home and I'd rather watch that than any of his programs with Volosozhar.

There have been so many Queen programs but I'm blanking on who skated them. I definitely saw Kerstin Frank skating a Queen SP at Euros last week, though the things that had been done to the music... :scream:

    Other artists

There have been a fair number of Metalica programs, most notably, perhaps, by Brian Joubert.
We have P/B and B/H skating to Rolling Stones music this season - a medley for P/B and Paint It Black for B/H.
Carolina Kostner skated to Riders on the Storm in 2007-8.

OT: I cannot access YT anymore on my computer. When clicked on many of these links, I am getting a message on my screen "This plugin is vulnerable and should be updated. Click here..."

Do you think my computer's been hacked? It's very strange that I was accessing yt all these years on this computer and now I suddenly get this message, and I cannot open any of the links posted here. I was trying to find the yt links for the programs I mentioned.

    What I would do is:-

    1. Update your anti-virus software and then run a scan with it, followed up by Spybot Search & Destroy. Combined, that should locate any viruses

    2. If there are no viruses, then its likely your browser software needs updating. Don't just click that link you mentioned though. You don't where that will lead. Simply download the most up to date software for your preferred browser. It should come with the most recent plug in. Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are the best. I find Internet Explorer to be quite slow
