I hope that she recovers quickly.
It's truly amazing that Tessa was able to compete so well last season with that type of injury. I hope this surgery will result in longer lasting relief.
I don't know why, but I expected "Tessa Virtue is pregnant" thread
You and me both.
Yes, this is already being discussed in the GP thread.
I didn't want to hear that. I want to see them duke it out with Davis/White all year long but maybe they will be back in top form by Worlds!
Just hope her quick recovery.
Does it tend to recur like this? It sounds really painful. I hope that her recovery goes as well as it did last time.
Yeah, I wanted to see that, too!
Part of me thinks they really won't be up to par as far as Worlds. I remember 2008 year and they just didn't have enough run throughs and competitions under their belt. But we'll see.
I do hope she recovers quickly and it won't be as hard this year.
Hope she brushes it off and gets better soon.
Tough break for Tessa & Scott. May she have a quick and complete recovery.
This is awful but in a way, maybe it is better to just get the surgery over with now so she can be skating pain free that much faster.
The previous surgery was to correct pressure in the anterior compartments. Although it helped, she still felt some pain. Apparently this current surgery was to correct pressure in the posterior compartments. Hopefully this makes her completely pain free.
I wish her a speedy recovery; and hope that the procedure will allow her to be/skate pain-free.
Awww I hope she recovers quickly, whats GP?
^GP=Grand Prix, a series of competitions held in the fall.
The difference between 2011 and 2008 is that V/M are now one of the top teams in the sport. They really weren't in 2008.
In the fall of 2008 (when Tessa had her first surgery), they were the reigning World silver medalists.
Thanks..it says up the thread "they are talking about it in gp thread" about a "pregnancy" or something.. now i know where to look
Didt see anythin there tbh not about a pregnancy anyway.. its such a shame, Maybe they ment in 2008, they werent HOT favorites as they are now.. as in 2008 although as awesome as they were they werent.. one of the "so-called" top tams as they were young (er) then..IDK.
I LOVE THEM...and hope to see them soon, I just hope one day they come to London (U.K) to skate other-wise i doubt if id eve get to see them live :'(
My Thoughts exactly.. they were already world medalists by the time the first surgery happened.
But when the first surgery happened, several teams were nipping at their heels, and they could have easily ended up off the podium with even the smallest mistake. The difference is that now, besides D/W, no one really even comes close to their level. They can make a mistake and still have that little cushion to keep them on the podium.
Hope she recovers well!
Ouch. Poor Tessa. Hope she can recover completely and never have to look back again.
She and Evan Bates can be BFF on the disabled list for now. . .
This is what I meant. I mean, as far as I can see, V/M and D/W are the top teams in the sport-period. There isn't really another team that could come too close, imo.
And yes, I, too, hope that Tessa recovers quickly so that we can see her back on the ice soon!
A million depressions : : :
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Tessa!
Ouch, that sounds painful. Best wishes for a speedy recovery Tessa! Hope to see them back on the ice soon.
And Scott and Emily could potentially be training mates. After skating with their respective partners for so long, it wouldn't quite be the same but it'd certainly beat a sand bag.
Did it seem strange to anyone else when the article quotes Scott as saying that, "We have two awesome routines this year..."
Who's her boyfriend?
Are they not supposed to have two?
