    Bryan Ferry *and* Colin Firth get CBEs?!?! OMG, that's way too much hotness at one awards ceremony.
    <me faints>
    Other winners: actress Janet Suzman, comedians Tim Brooke-Taylor and Graeme Garden, textile designer Celia Birtwell, artist Sam Taylor-Wood.

    What fabulous choices! Congrats to both! :cheer:

    Seeing Bryan Ferry live years ago was one of the most feel-good concerts I've had the pleasure of seeing. Not only was the music fabulous, but there was this palpable flow of love and appreciation from him to the audience and vice versa. Love him!

    Most of you guys in the US have never heard of Bruce Forsyth but he is THE news over here regarding the Queen's birthday honours list. He's been in showbiz for 70 years and is regarded as pretty much the undisputed king of light entertainment. Basically he's a national treasure and there has been something of a campaign ranging from facebook to MP's in parliament asking for a knighthood for him. Well he's finally got what he has so deserved all these years and there's not a soul I have spoken to today who isn't thrilled for him. It's very much overshadowing Colin Firth over here ;)
