    Minimum Total Technical Scores for ISU Figure Skating Championships 2014 and the Olympic Winter Games 2014

    MEN SP 25.00 FS 45.00
    LADIES SP 20.00 FS 36.00
    PAIR SKATING SP 20.00 FS 36.00
    ICE DANCE SD 18.00 FD 28.00

    ISU World Junior Figure Skating Championships 2014*):
    MEN SP 20.00 FS 40.00
    LADIES SP 20.00 FS 35.00
    PAIR SKATING SP 20.00 FS 30.00

    Interesting that the minimum score for the Olympics is the same as Europeans and Four Continents, rather than Worlds..

    I think they want to avoid that skaters qualify a spot for the OWG and then can't go because of the minimum score and also to avoid having to lower the minimum score in case not enough people have it.

    A good thing for Pairs teams! Don't 20 couples make it to the Olympics?

    Perhaps the Olympic minimums were set in place to avoid the scenario where Olympic spots are earned in Nebelhorn, but nobody actually met the technical minimums to actually compete in the Olympics.
