Who isn't being coached by Frank Carroll these days?
Wow -- he's got a full stable!
Frank's got a bunch of students now!
Indeed. Nagasu, Keiser, Kawamura, Gong, Lysacek, Ten, Cassar, and Laney Diggs (thanks bella!)...
Is Laney Diggs still with Frank?
Wow, Frank is going to be one busy guy!
I am so bummed that Bonacorsi/Mager are going to Linichuk! Their programs this year were so cool but after what Linichuk did for Belbin/Agosto and Domnina/Shabalin I am very afraid. They're my favorite US dance team
Yes, I believe she still is.
Nooo. Perhaps Linichuk will start outsourcing her choreography after this year?
question--when frank had linda, did he have any other senior ladies skaters,
when he had michelle did he have any other senior ladies skaters,
i think it came out he had other skaters but at novice and junior ranks, plus timothy around 2000,
i also know when michelle left frank --he had angela and beatrisa liang. i think
but outside of now-did he have more than 1 senior lady at a time.
i am assuming that elle is a senior along with mirai, and kristine will she be a senior.
i am assuming leah will be a junior -but do to age can't skate in any jp events.
please let me know if i am wrong. cause i can be.
i just assumed when he had michelle and linda they were the only female senior skaters he coached at that time. sorry
Frank had Mirai, Laney Diggs, and Bebe Liang last season.
Didn't Frank coach Karen Kwan at the same time as Michelle?
Did Frank coach Jennifer Kirk and Danielle Kahle at the same time?
Yes, in the 2004-2005 season, and IIRC Bebe Liang started training with Frank several months before Jenny retired.
Frank needs to pay for that new house in Palm Springs.
Anyone being coached by Shpilband/Zueva.
Glad to see Ellie making the switch to Frank, I hope she can get her triples back, I really like her skating, she has such nice flexibility, spins, and facial expressions, if she can get her jumps back then she will be quite a lovely skater and place respectably at international competitions.
Or with Mark Mitchell or Tom Z.
Congemi used to be Frank's right hand man, to do the secondary coaching so Frank could primarily focus on two or three skaters. Any word on who else is going to be in Palm Springs? No doubt he's not actually the sole coach for all of these skaters.
Doesn't he have Christa Fassi and a few other coaches as "assistants".
On one hand its incouraging to skaters to have such talent to train with and on the other hand, how much individual time will Frank have with each person?
This news has officially ruined my off-season.
AFAIK, Frank has always had a ton of students who competed on the national level.
Frank has owned his home in Palm Springs for many years - he bought long before the real estate bubble so I am sure it is paid for, or his mortgage is minimal - if it's any of our business.
Here's a nice article on 12-year-old U.S. Novice champ Leah Keiser: http://goldenskate.com/articles/2009/052310.shtml
Keiser also has her own official site at: http://leahkeiser.com/
I believe Laney Diggs currently is taking time off from competitive skating (not yet known if this means the entire season).
Frank is 71. Can't help but think this might be his last batch of skaters so to speak. After Lysacek, Mirai might be Frank's last international medal hopeful.
I don't know, Leah Keiser is looking pretty good these days, especially for a cute little 12 year old
Frank must be shoring up his retirement fund. Like many, his probably got hit by the big R.
I'm not sure if she decided to take time off after this, but her coaches are now listed as Angela Nikodinov and Ivan Dinev on her IN bio.
I don't know about that, my FIL is 77 and still works well over 45 hrs a week, its about ATTITUDE baby!
