It's been going on the rumor mill for quite sometime now but today I guess it's official. Never liked her in evening news format. I think she needs to rediscover herself and go back to her roots.

Bob Schieffer got higher ratings than couric in the interim period between Rather and Couric! I can't get over that fact. People liked him he had the evening news quality that Couric never had at all! Maybe Pellley will have that quality.

Not that surprised. As others have said, it wasn't the right fit for Katie at all.

Wish her luck in the next stage of her career.

I never thought she was anchor material. OTOH, I don't think Scott Pelley is, either.

Who is Scott Pelley? I don't recognize the name. Okay, okay - I'll go google it.

ETA - Ah, I recognize the face although I don't watch 60 Minutes much any more. I'll give him a chance.

You must not watch 60 Minutes.

And was probably paid half, a fifth, one-tenth? of her $15 million/yr.
