I admire her tenacity and attack.
Yey! She gave a clear short program.
Good for her since she's struggled for the short through this season.
She went back to the program of two seasons ago but was still gutsy enough to give the minor change and do two jump contents in the second half.
Go for the Sochi team!!
and well on display last night. Amazing ladies competition.
Congratulations for winning silver medal in Nationals in a row!!
Also congratulations for the Olympic spot!
I loved her expression of joy after finishing both of the programs. Wheee!
this is the best I've seen her skate
I feel like now finally we are in an Olympic year. Seeing these skaters having to lay it all on the line to make their Olympic team is much more exciting then anything we saw on the GP. Also the skaters are starting to hit their peak. US Nationals are going to be insane.
Kanako wants to retire after Olympics. But does she plan to compete at Worlds?
Hopefully she will reconsider after such a strong showing at Japan Nationals. She is too young to stop competing. So many more wonderful performances ahead of her IMO
This video is so funny.
Thanks for sharing the video. Dai is so funny
Is Kanako going to Four Continents?
It does seem too early or her to retire, however how many skaters do you wish went out on a high note? Has she said what she plans to do after skating? She seems like the type of person who will always have a fun and interesting life.
yes, she got everything
Men: Takahiko Kozuka, Nobunari Oda, Keiji Tanaka
Ladies: Kanako Murakami, Satoko Miyahara, Haruka Imai
Ice Dance: Emi Hirai/Marien De La Asuncion
The best moments of 2013
Wait I know this thread is about Kanako, but Oda has decided to postpone retirement?
Kanako is a 4CC winner!
She looks really good.
I hope she will skate in the last group for LP
Kanako is in 4th group
Looks like Kanako has decided to stay at lease for 1 more season. I hope she make a lot of improvements to her skating. This Worlds judges were very harsh on her.
I thought it was strange how harshly she was called on her underrotations at Worlds considering all of her jumps in Sochi were left untouched, even ones that looked more underrotated than in Saitama.
She was slaughtered by the judges in both the SP & FS.
I could not believe how much it went down by.
Happy to see her skate in the Gala. She really skated well.
Who is that with Kanako in this photo? I don't recognize her..
^ hahaha Adelina loods more matured in these couple of years. Adelina will be on Japanese ice for a few more weeks. Both of them skate in Osaka Exhibition and SOI Japan Tour.
More photos of Kanako in the backstage.
Photo from Worlds banquet.
oh wow yes - matured.. I thought maybe it was Kanako's grandmother coming to watch her skate..
oh, wow, I guess your first post was NOT a question. lol
