Lysacek and Weir should totally take their rivalry to Project Runway. :p

JMO but I think Evan lent his name to that puppy for a good cause, and had next to nothing to do with the designing of the actual dress. I never thought he had any aspirations to design clothing. And after seeing the dress I hope I'm right. lol He better watch it. First figure skating and now dress design. Someone might think he's gay!

A skating writer I know who knows Evan said that he was intending to design the dress himself, and that he apparently does have design aspirations.

So I guess this is the result. Oh dear... I'm glad he has a 'day job'.

The article below the pic said that Evan was working on a men's line. But this seems like a nice event that raised some money for a good cause. Good for Evan for being involved.

Somehow I just cannot imagine Evan sitting at a sewing machine saying, "Duchess satin is a bitch to work with."

That's hideous. If I were Vera Wang, I wouldn't stand next to that. I'd go and eat something.

I thought the dress was cute, and it's supposed to represent Ferraro chocolates, so in that respect, it works.

As said in another thread, at least the model had a realistic body shape. Vera is entirely too skinny. Get that woman a sandwich!

Evan's taste in fashion is better than Johnny's.

Evan appeared on Kathie Lee & Hoda on Monday to talk about the dress he designed. He appeared toward the end of the segment. Just drag the slider to the 8:51 mark.

    Kathie Lee & Hoda

The bottom of the skirt is all wrong. Too heavy looking.

Vera Wang kinda scares me. She's looking a tad like a crone these days. She's also very up Evan's butt. He needs some friends his own age. JMO Her too.

Methinks Evan was thinking too much of the actual candy when designing that dress. And is that a Ferrero Rocher ring she has on? Egads...talk about being too literal.

Her hair is too long for someone her age. It just makes her look older.

I don't think the dress is horrible for what it is - an advertising gig for charity. If Evan actually did design the dress himself, good for him. At least he can say he's produced an actual garment, instead of just talking about it.

I like the skirt, it's actually the top I'm not a fan of. (But then, I'm not into boobs.) It's better than a lot of crap "professional" designers have produced for Prroject Runway and the Fashion Show.

Someone please get Vera Wang a cheeseburger. Her hair wouldn't make her look old if it wasn't brittle and her skin wasn't brittle. When you look too skinny standing next to Evan, it's time to worry.

The dress wouldn't be so bad if you got rid of the gold piece on the hip and the mullet effect in the back.

As far as Vera is concerned, she needs a more sophisticated look. That outfit belongs on Miley Cyrus.:yikes:

I actually think that is part of the problem. This dress would look a lot better on a model who does not have a D cup bust.

This dress looks like a 1980's prom dress! About three decades out of style! :p
