As much fun as it would be to see Meryl and Charlie on DWTS, I don't think they would be allowed because they've had ballroom training. However, I'm hoping we'll get another skating competition show after Sochi. we got one after Torino, and two after Vancouver.

And I'm going to agree with everyone about ER, it was the FD that sent me down the path of uberdom, it was so different and out of the box from everything everyone else did at Nationals.

That. . . was kind of painful, given the tone-deafness of most of the athletes.

Meanwhile, we will soon hit the #1000 mark, should we start thinking of a new thread title?
Do we wanna go in the Charlie puppy direction or aim at something more serious? ;)

    Something non-puppy-related, please.

    *******

In other random bits of sleep-deprived silliness, I got this earworm stuck in my head earlier after MiniCyn and her BFF were deliberately annoying me with the original version.....

99 medals of gold on the wall, 99 medals of gold,
Their programs are great, in Sochi they'll skate...

Or we could skip serious all together.

In the spirit of the holidays how about "Two Twirly Twizzles".

It's amazing how much better their Yankee Polka was by the time they got to Giselle. Better steps, better posture, better matching lines.

A bit OT, but some of the camera angles in the video above were driving me nuts. Whoever thought it's a good idea to view a skating program from overhead? :wall:

As a person who is not necessarily a fan of Jason Brown, I hope we skip this one.

I like the twirly twizzles the most.

Re-living a fond memory. At first D/W seemed disappointed to be in 2nd but you can see the true joy in Meryl's eyes here.

I love that interview. VM look so giddy and exhausted, and I loved Charlie's "we couldn't wait." Then the huge hugs. And Scott wouldn't let go of Meryl, so Charlie hugged both of them at once! Good times.

Best of luck to Meryl and Charlie. :) I cannot wait to see the SD and FD with some Alex Wong flavor to it. The programs just keep gellin' and getting better :D
