I know some of you are the crafty types, and if you're interested in helping others and making CAPES (how awesome!), Craft Hope (http://www.crafthope.com) is now doing Capes for Kids!

I participated in making bibs for a foster home here in Beijing for one of Craft Hope's projects, on the suggestion of another poster here, and it was an awesome experience. It's not feasible for me to make for US projects, as postage is out of my budget (though I will be in DC in Feb, so may do their January one), but for US posters, this could be a good, interesting, and worthwhile project for you.

Thanks for posting....I will be rustling up some capes.
I've participated in quite a few of their projects - the sock monkeys, bracelets for Russian orphans, the tote bags, Christmas stockings, bibs, the aprons and the stuffed animals.
I probably had more joy in making them than the recipients did in getting the items.
