He was one of a kind and did so much to help Canadians celebrate our own unique Canadianness. They were talking on the TSN Hockey panel a few minutes ago about how one of them was in Finland for a tourney and the entire building were singing The Hockey Song word for word.

He truly was one of a kind and will be missed. :(

His music wasn't really to my taste, but he was a Canadian icon. He will be missed. :(

(But I do have a soft spot for "Sudbury Saturday Night!)

I like the Hockey Song. And I sing along in the car. Rest in peace Stompin' Tom.

Saw him live a couple of times. He was so friendly to his fans and spent time talking to us after the concert. A real gentleman.

I've been playing this one since I heard the news last night. Seems like a good epitaph.

    The Ballad of Stompin' Tom

Thanks for the music, Tom. No one wrote the soundtrack of Canada like you.
