Thoughts and prayers to the passengers on this train and their families and friends. Since it's Sunday and is not a workday commute with cars filled to capacity, the number of injuries will be low.

There are four known fatalities at this time, 2 of which were ejected from the train. At least 67 others were injured, some seriously. Six of the eight train cars came off the tracks, two of which flipped onto their sides.

ETA: FNC reporting that 63 people were injured, with 11 of them deemed "critical," plus the 4 fatalities.

Thank heavens it wasn't a workday, but this is still a busy travel day from the holiday weekend, so the train was more full than ususal. This will mess up a lot of holiday travel and commuters tomorrow, but that is of course insignificant compared to the loss of life and injuries.

Yikes! I've taken that train line to get to my brother's house.
