    I'm glad that this wasn't more serious. There are conflicting reports that there may have been some minor injuries.

    On NBC Nightly News they report that NTSB preliminary results suggest that this plane came down on its nose landing gear first, rather than the normal rear wheels first, then nose down. They speculate that the excessive force on the front landing gear caused the metal parts to break apart.
