Ah...but with the La La Land theme, we'll likely be seeing BLONDE ASHLEY once again, which would be great! Wanna bet? No more Vampirella-Morticia, please.
I would like to see more natural Ashley again.

Before Worlds, Misha Ge shared 4 clips of an exhibition program he choreographed for himself to the "Epilogue" from La La Land that he has yet to debut in public:The skater also has no regrets about announcing her probable choice on Instagram back in February.
“Oh, a million skaters are going to use ‘La La Land,’” she laughed. “I just wanted to at least put it in people’s heads I was going to skate to it. … It feels very hopeful, and that’s what I really like.”
Yeah. How many La La Lands are we going to see

The movie is AWESOME, haterz. I hope there are dozens and dozens of programs to it. I hope there are at least ten La La Land programs for every whiny post about it.
Of course I was taking a drink when I read this. Now my desk is covered in water! It's a fluffy, safe romantic piece about pretty white people, so a lot.
It's the perfect vehicle for a Shpilband team.
Let's have it be a mandatory piece of music for all skaters in either their short or long. And then the other one can be Carmen! The movie is AWESOME, haterz. I hope there are dozens and dozens of programs to it. I hope there are at least ten La La Land programs for every whiny post about it.

Maybe she'll go outside the box and perform as Ryan Gosling?! (I'd totally cheer for that program)Why blonde when the lead in the film is a red head?
^^^ Ashley Wagner was quoted as saying in her article, linked in post #273:

I'm looking forward to seeing this program performed for a live audience.
Not surprisingly, Misha Ge has been busy choreographing for other skaters since Worlds. He has choreographed new short programs for Elizabet Tursynbaeva (photo of them at Plushenko's academy rink: https://www.instagram.com/p/BS72eE4BqMt/ ) and Greece's Demetra Koris (clip: https://www.instagram.com/p/BTO0WjRBMY0/ ), and a FS for U.S. junior (JGP competitor) Eric Sjoberg to Khachaturian's Spartacus - clip of the final section with Misha instructing him: https://www.instagram.com/p/BTLgWoVh7vt/?taken-by=mishage8&hl=en

Well, what do you expect Ashley to do instead? A Tribute to Josephine Baker "Banana Skirt"?....I give it 5 minutes before PC police explodes...

Mime!Sounds good! She can pause in the middle of her program to give the audience a lecture about "real jazz."
I've not seen the movie, only a few clips. Is it as twee, vapid, and saccharine as it looks? Because if so, then I'm
I had the good fortune of attending many musicals during my childhood, and I can tell you that they are quite impressive on the stage. However, ITA w/ your opinion regarding saccharine musicals. Those can be very painful to get through! And I'm speaking as one who has been to more than a few. Luckily, the good did outweigh the bad.I've not seen the movie, only a few clips. More on Ashley. In this article, she says that La La Land is the plan for next year's LP ... but reserves the right to change her mind. Choreography on the LP has not begun yet. Ashley says that she and Shae-Lynn Bourne will consider other music options as well. (I suspect this will make some people happy!)

Really? I thought she was pretty clear about NOT saying that (and hinting she would continue). This is probably her last season and her last free skate program.

Bobrova/Soloviev are working on their FD with Radu Poklitaru (and Zhulin, of course)

His page on Wikipedia; he worked on 'Hamlet' in Bolshoi in 2015Sorry..never heard of him/her...any good??
I apologize for my cultural ignorance...So does this mean they will do balletic programs next yr? I know this is not the best thread for this but I IMO I saw them as being very slow this yr..without energy. I realize I was not correct as people who do know what they are talking about described them as fast. Is it possible they were maybe heavy on their blades? His page on Wikipedia; he worked on 'Hamlet' in Bolshoi in 2015
