Re: Weaver and Poje's music, if you are interested in LXD, their Web videos can be found here. I highly recommend it. LXD dances tend to be various genre in hip hop and street dance. The earlier dances are mostly choreographed by Harry Shum and Christopher Scott. Although the music is originally composed for these hip hop/street dancers, it is often not stereotypical and can be adapted to other dance styles. There is an episode in Season 3 that has a mock-Asian soundtrack to match the hip hop style of dance, which I think is totally unexpected and fantastic.

If she's using the version of autumn leaves that Usova & Zhulin used, I will be happy to hear it again, beautiful music.

I love the music! I'm so glad they're using "The Crisis" from the soundtrack. It's such a hauntingly beautiful piece. I'd like to see them get a little more inventive with their lifts, but the program looks like it's off to a great start!

    Sylvia Still recovering from Worlds...

Reynolds debuted his new FS at the BC SummerSkate competition this weekend - here's the video: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/24786867
(I recognized his middle section as the same FS music -- Mathieu's "Romantic Rhapsody" -- used by Rachael Flatt when she won 2008 Junior Worlds and re-used at 2009 Worlds.)

^ What a gorgeous piece of music. Great for a program...it's so grand in scope. Kevin's made some really interesting program choices over the last few years, makes him super fun to watch. I just want to shout "SPEED!"...is all.

I'm really liking these choices a lot for Yu-Na, surprised to see she is really going for it this year. With a full year of competitions under her belt leading up to Worlds, she could be quite a big contender this year. I've missed her quality, and those music choices are very cool. I also loved her 2011 LP, she's getting less generic as time goes on for me. :)

I apologize if I repeated anything that's been previously posted - I tried to keep that in mind.

tl;dr version: Memoirs of a Geisha is the new Carmen (though the original Carmen is still popular too!) and there's a hell of a lot of "Artists" this season.

Couldn't be more happier with her choices! Looks like blockbusting Yuna is back! Wheeeee....!!!

Les Mis is one of the most eagerly awaited movie of the year. And frankly the sport can do with more hypnotic vampires instead of so many boring tangos that failed to raise my pulse these past years.

Kiira Korpi (FIN) will skate her SP to Claude Debussy´s A girl with the flaxen hair:D, choreo by David Wilson, and
FS to Once upon a time in America, choreo by Shae-Lynn Bourne.
She will not use the most heard pieces of OUTA, but concentrete the female lead´s themes and feelings.
