Abbott did a quad at Skate Canada and U.S. Nationals successfully. He did a triple axel/triple toe successfully much more frequently. I thought he did not do a quad and 3a/3t together but he did.

That's what I was gonna say.

I'm almost ready to agree that a moratorium should be put on certain overused pieces of music, at least for a few seasons. Seriously, there's so much music out there, so why do skaters keep using the same .00000000000000000000001% of it?

The difference is while there is only one Carmen, there are several Zorro movie soundtracks to choose from:

    1. Zorro (1957 and 1990)
    2. The Mask of Zorro (1998)
    3. Zorro the Gay Blade (1983)
    4. The Mark of Zorro (1974)
    5. El Zorro La Espada Y La Rosa (2007)
    6. The Legend of Zorro (2005)
    7. The Princess Bride (1987)

And these are just the recent ones. They've been making Zorro movies since the 1920s. So while a Carmen is a Carmen; a Zorro is not always a Zorro, LOL.

They are with Sappenfield now... Maybe the cut of POTO that Paetsch/Meekins used last season is just being recycled to them. And maybe they just really like the music, who knows.

Aw, the Disneyworld music! :cheer2: I love it.

    Bold goal this season!

 You're right. I'm just used to the skaters being kind of shy on their icenetwork bios. ;) Not many people come out and say their goal is to win, even if they want to... Especially when the clear favorite seems to be someone else. I'm happy that is their goal though.

Why did this have to get political....? Enough with all of the snarky Sasha comments! Sure, she was inconsistent but she brought a level of beauty to skating through artistry and gorgeous spinning that is currently unmatched, even by Yu-Na Kim, in my opinion.

Let's all try to get back on topic. :)

To say Sasha's spinning is "currently unmatched" now is just plain wrong. Czisny, Zhang, Nagasu, and Nakano are all just as good, if not better, spinners as Cohen ever was.

Her programs have always been very empty and didn't make much (if any) use of her fiery personality.

A total waste. I mean imagine her doing a program like Takahashi's "Eye" SP. She could have really shined skating something like this but then it'd require her to actually have a work ethic because pulling complex programs off isn't easy.

And as museksk8r wrote above, there is a number of skaters with similar or better spinning skills.
