    Here is an article
    Look forward to seeing it:)

“Now everyone is busy preparing a new ice spectacle “City Lights”” said Aberbukh. And he said, “Charlie Chaplin is the center in hero in this spectacle. As you know, the “City Lights” is one of famous films of Chaplin. But my spectacle does not make scenes into a movie, but make fantasy about the story hero are walking around the city and become friendly by destinies of others.”

    A new interview from Alexei.
He talked about “City Light” and himself.

“City Lights” will be mixed with figure skating, circus and theatre play. It will be created quite new and original. Felt passion from Alexei and everyone who are involved in the great project.

At the end of the interview, Alexei said “feel much more comfortable with smiles”
Alexei’s smiles are the best in bests in the universe;)

Alexei Yagudin, Ilya Averbukh and Tatiana Totomianina answered the interview on the radio for the promotion of “City Lights”.

I think they work very hard in rehearsals and promotions these days.
They have only 1 week by the first stage.
    Cheer up!:encore:

    This sounds interesting.

I miss B&S's Citylights program. One of the best skating programs ever. Of course I watch it many times on video.

Lots of pictures from Opening Night[/QUOTE]

    Thanks for posting :)

I'm a bit confused regarding the site where those photos are hosted, first I thought it was some sort of photo agency but then I noticed the photos can be downloaded for free, then by browsing the site i realized that they are probably a photo shop that offers online hosting. So my question is, to anyone who actually speaks russian, who took those photos?

The pictures are by Oleg Naumov, the show's official photographer.
Most likely they are Ice Symphony's pictures, uploaded there by them.

    What a gorgeous show!:encore:

I saw all 5 shows, but could find something new in every show.
The more I saw the show, the more interesting I felt.
Time flashed by, and the finale came in a twinkling.
At first, it was hardly to know what I should see.
Not only on the rink, but also on the stage.
Not only at the center, but also all corners.
Not only skating, but also singing, dancing and performing.
Figure skaters, singers, dancers, circuses, costumes, lightings, music, etc.
It was really very big team with dozens of participants and more than hundred of parties concerned in the project.
    Everything was perfect produced.
Anything did not go to pieces, but created a fantastic harmony together.
Even if I did not understand in Russian or did not know the story, I could enjoy the spectacle and could understand the story and the theme with their performances.
I believe "City Lights" will bring joy and happiness in the world!

For all of people who were involved in this project,
Thanks billions for creating such a wonderful entertainment!:)
Congratulations on your big success of the premiere shows!:)

    Alexei Yagudin

Alexei played the role “Tommy” who was introduced as a successful person in a program.

At first sight, Tommy looked an unpleasant person. He had a girlfriend, but kissed with another girl in front of her. When a man liked to be close with Tommy's girlfriend, Tommy gave money to the man and told going away. When other people did not do as Tommy wanted, he did not hesitate hurting them.

But in the truth, Tommy had pure love in his heart. Maybe he was not good at expressing his feelings. When his girlfriend was leaving from him, his heart flashed fire and lamented bitterly and madly.
At last, he got back his pure heart.

Yagudin performed Tommy with full of his heart and energy.:)

He looked very well with purple shirt in dress rehearsal, but looked perfect with white shirt and red gloves in the shows.
In the first performance, he looked gorgeous with the victory pose!
In the last of the 1st act, Alexei looked very cool like guys in the West Side Story.

His high light was the solo program in the 2nd act.:rollin:
He performed it as long as a free program in eligible competitions. He was really passionate with full energy from the beginning thru the end. He expressed fighting spirits and sorrow like Gladiator, flame and passion like Revolution Etude, and tension like Man in the Iron Mask at 2002 Olympic.
It was my dream to see such performances from Alexei again.

Alexei is just a man playing an ardent guy.
He expresses an affected man and a passionate hearted man, joy and sorrow and anger and smile...
No one is perfect in the world, but anyone cannot stop loving such a charming person.
Alexei is sure an artist who expresses everything in our life in several minutes of skating.
He is the best in the world, no matter what will happen;)
I love him always and forever.

    Bereznaya & Cikharulidze
Really happy to see they skate together again!
    Just brilliant Chaplin program!

    Navka & Kostomarov
Navka played the heroin Madlen. She looked gorgeous!
Kostomarov played the role of Maximinian who were soft and contrasted with Yagudin’s Tommy.

He looked like a professional figure skater. He was free to perform anything on the ice.
He played the role of Charli who looked like Chaplin and an angel. When he met with someone, a new story began. He ended all of story happy.

    Petrova & Tikhonov
They got to perform 2 title music in this spectacle. Especially “Sing, sing, sing” was a happy number.
Charli gave them an opportunity to meet and love each other.

    Dorobyazko & Vanagas
    They also got 2 numbers.
In the 1st act, they fought and left home. Their daughter cried not to see her parents home at the night, so Charli presented a nice dream with animals, cakes and sweet parents. In the 2nd act, they made it up happily.

    Totmianina & Marinin
They performed the role of cyber Adam & Eve.
When Charli dropped water to them, they started fighting, although they danced with love before the moment.

Shabalin, Stabiski, Leonova, Khvalko and ensemble
They made a lot of great group numbers. These group numbers were the best in the world.

    Ilya Averbukh
Thanks billions for making such an extraordinary spectacle on the ice! I cannot imagine how hard he worked to make it in his very busy schedule.
Hopefully we will see it again.

I uploaded photos and videos in my blog.

“City Lights” won the “Star Rain” award in the ceremony “Stars of theatre" in Russia!
Congratulations, Ilya Averbukh, all of staff and performers:rollin:

It is not the competition for skating, but for all of spectacles in theatres.
I am proud it was awarded as the best play in theatres.

“City lights” was everything, a wonderful ice show, a fantastic spectacle, a beautiful musical, brilliant lighting, gorgeous costumes, etc.
I believe anyone enjoys seeing it in the world, even if people are out of Russian culture.
Hope they will make a world tour in a future!:)
