    I'm not sure about that. Had she not choked during the AA on bars, and obtained the same score on it as in qualification (15.100 instead of 14.200), she would now be AA world champion. It was her significantly underperforming on bars that cost her the title

    That's right. The fact that 2/5 of the pcs score relates to the old technical mark means that they have not been allocated equal weight. By doing this, artistry only now accounts for 30% of the oevrall score

    I would rather see a good triple than a bad quad. I don't want to see FS going in the same direction as gymnastics by becoming nothing more than a jumping contest in which poor execution is not properly penalised.

    A very good comparison and Hana died far too young. Before my time, but her tragic death must have come as a tremendous shock to the figure skating community.
