They can reflect and think about what they want to do for the next two in Russia events including getting the 3A solid for her SP. That's where she really needs the points.

Given how the PCS is between 9.25-9.75 for the top ladies, if this is a repeat type of event for next year, it’s not going to matter what anyone else does, including Kostornaia IMO. The quads and GOE are going to set these 3 so far ahead that ‘only’ 3A’s aren’t going to be enough. There’s not enough points left in PCS to catch up.

And this comes from a huge Kostornaia fan.

Plushenko tried to get Sasha to take an ice cream after she didn't win one of the Russian cup events and she was upset. She refused and said she didn't eat ice cream. Balabanova, OTOH, apparently is a big fan and grabs one after every skate.

There are only a couple of ladies in the world capable of scoring above 80 points in TES. 80 as PCS factoring is correct.

And given the high PCS for anybody with quads who skates cleanly, it almost certainly wouldn't make a difference anyway.

Yeah, but if we never tried to improve the system because judges use PCS incorrectly in practice, we'd never do anything.
