Watching the rebroadcast of last year's pairs long program at Worlds, I was impressed again by Tanith White's growth as a commentator. Her technical knowledge is strong and getting stronger, and her explanations thereof are well communicated. The consistent great enunciation in her speaking voice is impressive. She gets those exotic names out just right. And she can be funny, human, and illuminating too. A smart cookie. Ryan Bradley is likable enough, but Tanith packs a lot more content into what she says. I got a little tired of Bradley pointing out that "errors like that will keep them off the podium." Right.
The transition from skater to commentator isn't always so felicitous, but I'm liking Tanith and expecting her to get even better in the course of the coming year. Commentator style is a matter of opinion of course.
