I can't watch it - wouldn't work. So want to see this.

Also saw somewhere else that he wants to do Iggy Azalea and asked her permission. Now that I want to see.

Apparently he is doing 8 videos in 8 days - releasing one every day for the next week - so you may yet get your wish.....

OMG, this is insanely brilliant  And unlike Robin Thicke, he didn't need naked supermodels to make the song look good....

OMG Word Crimes is Weird Al at his best. Fantastic.

    Love the Prince reference.

I was just going to post that I loved that he carved Prince out of using numbers for letters!

The latest batch of songs would probably be better if I had any idea what they were parodying. I mean, I'd heard Tacky/Happy- but the Word Crimes and Foils songs I don't know. But I truly love weird al. There are many songs I can't listen to anymore without hearing his parody.

Yep. Once upon a time I knew every single song he was spoofing. Now I have to BoobTube the source material.

Guess I'll call up "Like A Surgeon" now....

"Word Crimes" is all kinds of awesome. He gets 10/10 for lampooning one of my least favourite songs ever AND getting all the items on my grammar peeve hit list! (Plus bonus points for use of the term "cunning linguist.")

"Blurred Lines" and "Royals" were all over every mainstream pop radio station in the last 6 months or so.

OTOH, since Pandora, Spotify, and SiriusXM, I have friends my age who don't listen to regular radio stations anymore. But I like to listen to mainstream pop whenever I'm in the car, just to keep up with what's in.

Foil - another Weird Al classic.

I love how he can take these songs and parody them without being rude or denegrating about the artists.

Thought "Word Crimes" was okay until he used the word spastic and then on reflection, didn't find it that funny at all. He's basically saying anyone who doesn't use correct grammar all the time is an idiot (or writes like a spastic). I know it's a parody, but I definitely have enjoyed some of his others more.
