Hello.

I've found this compared film from Youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypmMu8cPZAs&feature=youtube_gdata
http://youtu.be/ypmMu8cPZAs

"Queen Yuna KIM" skates with same way on both of SP and LP.

****Her 3 continuous turn movements as below:
-RFI Rocker turn
-RBI Counter turn
-RFI Twizzle

-LFI Twizzle
-LBO Counter turn
-LFO Rocker turn

***Keyword*** R: right, L: left, F: forward, B: backward, I: in-edge, O: out-edge***

From Korea I've heard, that the queen should put importance to steps in this season.
I'm looking forward to "46th Golden Spin of Zagreb" from 5th Dec..
I'll watch carefully her footworks...not her face !

That's not a problem with Yunas skating skills, but with Wilsons creativity.

Trolling 3/10

Pretty much this. Her basic skating is very good but Wilson's choreography is lazy and generic.

Couldn't have said it better. I really wish she'd use a more interesting choreographer.

One of the best ever in that area. Only Kostner, Sato, of skaters in recent memory were perhaps better.

I think Arakawa's skating skills are better than Yuna's.

I had forgotten her. She would atleast be comparable I agree. The judges usually gave her lower skating skills than Cohen who had mediocre skating skills but that is more a sign of poor judging than anything else.

Hello.
Thank you for all, reading and posting comments.

I read a news last week from Korea, that Yuna's stepworks(as an example "Danse Macabre") should be equal to the one of Alexei Yagudin.

You can watch their compared film from here:
http://kodemari.jpn.org/blog/?p=2143

I know well, korean medias send sometimes tricky news for the world.
(On this news, the reporter deleted a important comment of Tarasova,)
But for me, as a Yagu-fan it was very shocked.
His stepworks is still now no.1 for me.
If I can say more, Yuna was a queen in London, Canada, but I'm not satisfied with her less varieties for stepworks and restless edge-strokes.

I'm looking forward to more comments.
Thanks again.

Good efforts, troll pretending to be a Yagudin fan.

BTW, it is interesting that you know the article even Korean Yuna fans do not know or care.

I have not ever heard. (Although I predict Yuna's LP steps will great.)

It is very satisfying that her movements can be described in the codified language of skating.

Hi EricRohmer

I inform to this URL about "queen's super steps" campaign.
http://m.sports.naver.com/general/news/read.nhn?oid=073&aid=0002311174
You're korean speaking, so can you read it without a translator, can't you ? ;)

Also queen's big supporter Mrs. Sissy Krick (ISU) said im interview by "World Figure Skate No. 58" (japanese ver. /released on Apr. 13, 2013):
"(After SP 2013 world) As a jumper, Kim was correct and speedy, landed perfectly. But about interpretation was not so."
"Kim is a strong jumper, but her repertory is little."

...Maybe you'll not believe it...

Ciao !

lol. The article has nothing to do with whatever campaign.
A pathetic asada-fan, stop your campaign and care about your skater.

The article you link has nothing to do with your 2 sentences <From Korea I've heard, that the queen should put importance to steps in this season> ≠ <I inform to this URL about "queen's super steps" campaign>.
And why do you post/link a Japanese article content as well talking about Korean media?

Anyways, I will not feed you troll anymore.

stupsi, you provide an interesting issue. However, as for discussing clearly the REAL skating skills, we should watch the Ice dance skaters such like Davis & White or Virtue & Moir.
In my opinion, the configuration of her "3-continuous turns" should be discussed as TES or Choreography / Composition issue. But I partly agree with you on the fact that she (or Wilson) almost always use the same kind of steps/movements or her "template". We want to watch more various elaborate performances even at the competitions.

I know she is one of the good skaters, but I don't think her skating skill is worth gaining the score of "9.21" points much higher than Chan and Kostner's results, because in terms of the "flow and effortless glides", "clearness of deep edges", and "mastery of multi-directional skating", there is still much room for improvement in her performances. Sorry for the many of Yu-na fans, but it is only my personal thought from my personal experiences.

Anyway, stupsi, I thank you very much for reminding me of my fundamental question for "skating skill" judging problems at the World Championship 2013.;)

---------

For ｔｈｅ discussion between stupsi and me, I add some ”in-my-opinion” strength and weakness of　Yu-na's skating skill:
Strength: Speed before the first 3-3 jump, safe game tactics, powerfulness, big movements
Weakness: In addition to the above mentioned weak points, low-speed turns during step sequences, mediocre edge works (I can't explain it, but ...she seem to turn mainly by using centrifugally-driven force of throwing her arms/legs rather than edge-controlling on ice.) :)
