Press release in the Fan Zone: https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...begins-this-week-in-wenatchee-washington.aspxThe Showcase will bring in over 400 skaters from all over the Unites States, including 20 from the local Wenatchee Figure Skating Club, whose participating members all had to qualify for the event at various regional tournaments.
“It’s an awesome event because people can see all different kinds of performances,” said Bedard. “And those performances are happening under spotlights, so it’s very unique and we don’t see that a lot in figure skating and those kids are very creative and they’ve been working hard for a long time to be able to perform next week.”
One of the hometowners who will be featured at the Showcase is 2018 U.S. Nationals [intermediate] bronze medalist Liam Kapeikis [5th in Novice in 2019 and in ISP], who now trains fulltime in the Vancouver area for skating events all over North America.
