Two more Skate Dance Dream shows are scheduled for later this year: July 19, 2014 in Charleston, SC and September 6, 2014 in Dayton, OH.

The Figure Skating Star Cast for Charleston, SC will be headlined by: Courtney Hicks, U.S. National Pewter Medalist; Tim Dolensky, U.S. Junior Silver Medalist; and, Sean Rabbitt, U.S. National competitor. The Show will also be starring finalists from the Fox hit show, "So You Think You Can Dance", including Season 10's Tucker Knox, contemporary dancer. The Dayton, OH Cast will be announced later this year.

What is Skate Dance Dream? It is a one-of-a-kind show experience that fuses figure skating and off-ice dance together (with a dance stage on ice); and teams Star performers including U.S. National, World, and Olympic figure skaters and dance finalists from Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" with the next generation of talent, top youth figure skaters and dancers, who have their dreams fulfilled performing alongside their heroes in the show.

2 articles publicizing the Charleston, SC July 19th show with quotes from SDD's founder, Parker Pennington:
Skate Dance Dream is a new kind of show tour that fuses dance and ice skating together teaming professionals with local youth talent. The show will be staged at the Carolina Ice Palace at 7 p.m. and is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating.

Amelia Lowe and Tucker Knox, top finalists from seasons nine and 10 of “So You Think You Can Dance”, will headline Skate Dance Dream Charleston.

On the ice, 2013 U.S. National Pewter Medalist Courtney Hicks, 2012 U.S. National Junior Silver medalist Tim Dolensky and U.S. National competitor Sean Rabbitt will round out the cast.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish® South Carolina.
In mid-2010, Pennington founded Skate Dance Dream and in August 2011, the very first Skate Dance Dream show took place at the Alice Noble Ice Arena in Wooster, Ohio. This weekend’s show in Charleston is Skate Dance Dream’s ninth official show.

“Skate Dance Dream has continued to grow every show from the overall production and set, to the concept and experience we offer for fans and participants alike,” added Pennington.

Besides being the only touring show that combines both figure skating and dance, Skate Dance Dream also allows the opportunity for aspiring figure skaters and dancers to perform with and learn from the stars that they see on TV. “Dreamers”, as they are called, get to meet and hang out with the stars. They attend rehearsals and learn several numbers that they later perform in the show alongside the stars. They also get the privilege of taking a class to learn from the stars.

Pennington said, “For these “Dreamers”, we offer the ultimate dream experience. Wouldn’t you want to spend a weekend with the heroes you look up to?”
"Randy [Starkman (1960-April 16, 2012)] lived by the same motto as the rest of us. The Olympics isn’t every four years, it’s every single day. He just got it." --Canadian Olympic kayaker Adam van Koeverden
