Overall, everyone did amazingly well. Jason Brown, Meryl and Charlie and Polina Edmunds got the most cheers. I was especially impressed with Mirai’s emotional skating and Ryan Bradley’s showmanship. The guys’ group number was super fun, too.

Afterwards, I went to the meet and greet and got a chance to speak with all of the skaters. A few tidbits:

    1. Polina Edmunds aunt mistook me for Alissa Czisny and chided me for hiding in a corner and then told me I skated beautifully. Later on when I spoke with Alissa, I told her and we had a laugh about it. I took it as a compliment - she’s gorgeous!

    2. I told Ryan Bradley that I followed him on twitter and had enjoyed his Olympic snark and he told me he actually got in trouble for it. He didn’t say much beyond that, but we had a bit of conversation about governing sports bodies.

    3. Mirai was incredibly sweet. I brought a little “Mirai” for her to sign on behalf of a friend of mine and she took the time to write out my friend's name fancy and posed with it.

    4. Jason Brown is the sweetest ever. I spoke with him twice and he gave me three hugs. He was giving everyone hugs! He’s like the real life version of Olaf. He also told me, “I’ll do whatever you want,” to which I said, “Oh really? I like that in a man,” which made him collapse onto the table giggling and blushing.

    5. And finally I met Meryl and Charlie! They are so very nice! I told them about how my friend and I watch DWTS each Monday and then talk about it on Tuesday, and how we were both hoping for them to be in the top 2, to which Meryl said, “We hope so too!” Charlie insisted on taking the selfie (said he was “an expert” at them), and they were just very generous and gracious and lovely.

Everyone was lovely! It was a great afternoon/evening, and I’m so happy I went to both the show and the meet and greet!

Here's the link to my tumblr post, which also has some pics (although not very exciting, admittedly!): http://immaculategiraffe.tumblr.com/...soi-show-and-i
    Thanks for posting your experiences.

Yes, Jason Brown was full of energy at the M&G. He seems like he genuinely enjoys the experience of meeting fans and that's EXTREMELY rare. Hands down best skater experience I've had, would be nearly impossible to top.

I got to talk to D/W briefly (waited until the large crowd around them thinned out). I asked Czisny about her competitive status and she said something to the effect that she was unsure and would take it day by day (as she recovers from her surgery).

Everyone was generally pleasant...it was a good experience overall. Definitely one of the better M&G sessions I've been to (so many of them feel rushed!)

    Excerpt:
Though she appeared in two group numbers as well, Davis was reportedly under the weather. And her big Act 2 spot with White, an encore of their long Sochi program to Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Scheherazade,” was canceled. (Sigh.)

Otherwise the show put the spotlight on a crop of up-and-coming skaters, all talented but displaying varying degrees of power and confidence in numbers mostly devised by head choreographer Jeffrey Buttle and associate choreographer Renée Roca to current pop tunes (this year, with an indie-alt tilt).
    ...
The best group number? No contest: “The Walker,” an upbeat bromance with male skaters in bright-colored slacks strutting and finger-popping like animated hipster Crayolas on ice.

Not entirely sure what I'm more impressed by: Max's incredible control and balance with his guards on, or the way Ryan just effortlessly picks him up.

New dance team: Aaron/Bradley? Not a bad rotational lift, shame that Ryan grabbed him in the wrong way and stopped him hitting a better position

Found another blog review of Stars on Ice dated May 6th (don't know which city but it was one of Max Aaron's stops and includes a smiling Charlie White photo): http://thehesaidshesaidexperience.co...on-ice-tour-2/

Same blog also published an interview with Mirai Nagasu and Max Aaron on May 20th: http://thehesaidshesaidexperience.co...asu-max-aaron/
