There is a video on her facebook of her landing a clean 3lz in a practice a couple of weeks ago. Guess things are not too bad

In the mean while rsport.ru write Soloviev came back to the ice, he still has pains the groin and was only skating on one leg. He will need another 2 weeks or so to recover. Zhulin has 2 ideas for the new season's programmes, once they make a choice he will voice it.

It might be better if he didn't have ideas...

Well I'll be optimistic, its not as if Zhulin is incapable of good programs. Maybe the new lease on life with the Russian ice dance shakeups will really inspire all of them.
Congratulations 2014 World Ice Dance Champions Anna Cappellini & Luca Lanotte!!!

Yeah, I am not sky is falling all of this. Just think of the competitive mindset that S&K and I&Z, and the rest will have to prove themselves. And I actually think S&K will turn out to be a better team than I&K.
    What would Jenny do?

Actually I was only meaning to comment on Bobrova, Soloviev, and Zhulin.

I'm not optimistic for Elena I right now. S&K have the potential to be good but I can't see them being better than I&K, even if they end up more consistent. Well I guess if they end up being more consistent they could be a reliable podium finisher for Russia. But not as exciting a team I can't imagine.

I'd love to see Monko & Khaliavan make a move in all this shakeup.

Somehow I can't see why S/K would have more potential than I/Z. Elena was not the weak link in the I/K partnership. They both did their fair share of mistakes, and the couple S/Z were also quite well balanced in terms of their skills, so why would anyone think that Elena's future is not optimistic is beyond me. S/K have Morozov, who created the Black swan program, but he also created some pretty bad ones on the past, so I am not sure if he is the advantage or the disadvantage. S/K will now train in the USA, is that an advantage for Russian skaters? I don't think so.

He looks much younger and cuter without the beard. Trankov has already shaved, good to see Klimov following his teammate´s example.

Because there's not enough going on already, R/T have apparently split as well.

    . And the source?

Well, it didn't seem like they had much future anyway. But now with I/K and S/Z splitting and swapping partners, they could have still fought for the third spot - at least this next season.

Maybe Elena can choose if she wants Zhiganshin or Tkachenko. I would vote for Zhiganshin though!

But just imagine the OTT we would get from an Ilinykh/Tkachenko pairing

Maybe Tkachenko realized his chances and therefore decided to split?

This is the most I remember in figure skating in.... probably ever.

Were Ilinykh to team with Tkachenko, I think they'd end up with Gorshkov and Shpilband.
