So, no authority here, but I think I read that grapefruit shouldn't be taken with some medications, something like they lose their effect?

It depends. My favorite is chocolate Babka. Sometimes, in a pinch, I'll have a Kashi granola bar - the one with the layer of chocolate and the coconut. But most often, I have dry cereal - Cinnamon Life or Maple Mini Wheats, although lately I've been enjoying Vanilla Chex.

And 1-2 mugs of tea with milk.

And I believe that. But one of the problems with being a chronic allergy sufferer is that you tend to wake up nauseated, sometimes more, sometimes less, and so there are times when you can't face food.

I'm sure other people have other reasons. But on days where I skip breakfast, it's because I'm just not able to even look at food for a couple of hours.

Sometimes I am just not hungry in the morning. I am not going to eat if I am not hungry. Although if I know I am likely to have a late lunch, I'll throw an apple in my handbag or choke down a protein shake. Hate those.

On the one day a week when I wake up early to skate, I have two breakfasts - usually something light before skating, such as a 1/2 portion of dry cereal and some tea, and then something heavier when I get to work, like a samosa wrap from the supermarket, or even a Dunkin Donuts chocolate chip muffin, if I'm feeling indulgent; with a Diet Coke.

I tell people at work I'm a hobbit - I have second breakfast on days when I skate early.

My nutritionist says the same, but adds ALWAYS eat some kind of protein at breakfast. I alternate between a boiled egg with whole wheat toast and oatmeal with nuts.

Lately either a plain bagel with whipped cream cheese (the non whipped is too rich for my taste buds) or peanut butter on toast. 1/2 glass of orange juice. Sometimes a banana or pear.

    I really don't like breakfasts

Peanut butter on wholegrain bread/toast/crisp-bread would be my third choice (that's what I'd eat when in a hurry) but no, I don't get tired of eating the same thing in the morning. Breakfast has to be something that you can make quickly and I don't see other viable options.

    My morning man shake:
Protein powder + whatever frozen fruits I have and/or banana if feel like it + peanut butter sometimes + Milk + Water to Thin.

But If I'm not in a rush, I'll eat everything. My roomate from college was Korean and he'd eat white rice, kimchi, and sausage. I fell into the habit myself for many months...

Greek yogurt (Fage, always), blueberries, granola with a drizzle of honey. And coffee. Lots and lots of black coffee with sugar.

I love breakfast food, but I am basically useless in the morning, so I make my breakfast the night before and eat it in when I get to work. If I had time, I'd probably eat scrambled eggs and toast. A bacon, egg and cheese sandwich sometimes if I'm being bad. Prancer, to answer your question, no I don't get tired of my yogurt. I really miss it if I don't eat it.

You are lucky you weren't on the US Olympic team.

What is this with people in the US eating pancakes for breakfast? Are there people who eat them often? Not that they aren't tasty, but who has the time?

According to this survey, we eat cereal and eggs more than anything else. That sounds more like what I would expect.

Skipping breakfast might not be as bad as you think, either.

I know. It's been years since I've had pancakes.

Plus it's mostly simple carbs and that's Satan's food here in California.

I eat pancakes a few times a year, if that. Bisquick pancakes are disgusting so I don't eat them unless I make them by hand and that takes more time than I have on most mornings.
