Good news. But then I find this quote from the article above confusing:
"The agency said the three days of performances will be Kim's last appearances on ice as a figure skater."

    Something was lost in translation?

that wasn't the intention.. it was probably lost in translation..

yuna received a retirement cake from a fan.. yuna eating an ice cream with her 2 puppies toto and sky.. it says "congrats to ordinary person, yuna kim..” “welcome, natural person!”

Oh, thank you for clarifying, really . This is a relief. So, I and many other skating fans (mainly those in Korea, but in many other countries as well) will still have this show to look forward to.

video of yuna @ coca cola awards ceremony..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jp2LLLXPg2U

    - she talks about speed skating
    - she doesn't have any plan yet about her future but she's preparing for the ice show this may..
    - she said that being called the 'queen' is cringeworthy.. and she rather prefers to be called yuna kim the athlete..
    - and that she's humbled to receive the best female award because there are other athletes in the korean team who did better than her and she only won silver..

I'll remain skeptical about her retirement till 2018. I'm not sure her Fed is going to let her retire especially after her beautiful skate in Sochi. They probably think that if a 27 years old Carolina Kostner can skate that great so can a more talented and younger Yuna. Makes you wonder if marriage is not her only option to get rid of her Fed's pressure lol!

Marriage + babies will not just beat down her Fed but also the Yunabots.

Yuna is a great champion and has nothing to prove. Between the rigors of training and starving herself to keep her jumps why in the world would she want to continue?
Let there be many breads and let Yuna enjoy her retirement.

In case you didn't notice, this is a Yuna FAN thread, Mr. Lucky. So for you to come in here and post about Adelina beating Yuna and now being the top skater is unpleasant, as you must realize no one here agrees with you or appreciates the comments. Please save your pro-Adelina stuff for neutral threads or her thread. I'm not going into the Adelina thread and saying she didn't deserve to win because I know no one there will agree with me or care. You could extend the same courtesy to Yuna fans.

Eh, I would agree, but there is not anything like that in MrLucky's last post.

I agree! I aim sure there will be huge pressure on Yuna to return to eligible competition for S. Korea's first Winter Olympics. Especially in the wake of the disappointing showing at Sochi in their former stronghold of speed skating (and the "defection" of Viktor Ahn). Yuna is their big star. And she will still be so young!

And I wouldn't bet against her still pulling off a podium spot in 2018!

I bet Yuna will be on the ice of Pyeongchang not to skate but to award medals.
    This too will pass away.

Her "Send in the Clowns" is my favourite SP of hers...there is a sweet melancholy to it. I loved the tilt of her head and the positioning of the shoulders. I am going to miss her so much, but I am thrilled she gave us two awesome performances to cap her career.

Thanks for all the links, everyone!

I don't know. She seems pretty determined to retire. Not even doing shows past these three?! That's FINAL.

With her injuries, I can't imagine another comeback would be easy. I hope her fed will leave her alone.

I´m sure the federation will put pressure on her to compete in 2018 and I hope she can withstand it. She had so many injuries and I don´t want her to become Plushenko 2.0

i'm sure there will be pressure.. but once she said she's done.. she's done.. i hope they will just let it go already.. and i know it will take time or even a miracle to produce another world class skater.. but i'm hoping it will come soon because i don't want yuna to endure another months of training..
