Selfishly, I would love for someone to skate to Pentatonix. They're my favorite music group, and figure skating is my favorite sport, so I would love to see them combined.

Someone has to, *has to* skate to this.

It's perfect for a short program if edited well as it's just under four minutes, but it's hauntingly gorgeous.

Can you recommend any specific songs? I did a search on youtube for Pentatonix and there were a ton of choices.

If skaters insist on using tangos, I've been lobbying for someone to skate to Tanghetto's version of Enjoy the Silence.

Any song by them would be amazing, but specifically their Daft Punk medley, their cover of Somebody That I Used to Know, or their original song Run to You.

I wish Ilinykh/Katsalapov skate something like hip-hop or another modern music style which nobody used as a free dance. Something like Takahashi's short program in 2008. I believe that is a Morozov program. They are only ice dancers we have, who can skate something like that.

Scott Hamilton once used Abrahams Theme from Chariots of Fire. It still makes me want to skate, even after 30 years.

Love Chariots of Fire. I also thought of another song that I would definitely love for any skater to perform to. I loved the song the first time I ever heard it:

Linda Fratianne skated a pro routine to Chariots of Fire, sometime in the 1980s.

I think this is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I remember watching the movie with my mom, and that's when I discovered what a beautiful voice that Doris Day had.

My biggest wish is to see more jazz programs. I feel like jazz music is very underused, except in ice dance. (And even there, too often it's same few songs over and over.) I'm a big Coltrane Quartet fan, and I'd love to see some of that music used for skating.

I'm fine with classical, but I'd like to hear something other than the standards. And now that choral music can be used, that opens up even more possibilities. (And not just Carmina Burana; we need to be careful, or that could quickly become the next Carmen.)

Movie and TV soundtracks are great, and I agree there's many that haven't been used. Years ago, there was some very haunting music in the Ralph Fiennes/Juliette Binoche version of Wutherning Heights. I always thought that would be great skating music. The only problem with movie soundtracks is that sometimes, there's only one good theme, and the rest is forgettable. So you do have to watch out for that.

Philippe Sarde's soundtrack to Roman Polanski's Tess would also make a great program.

Maybe a few of you remember the "Cave of the Golden Rose" series from the early to mid-90s, also known as "Fantaghirò". The soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous and skateworthy.

The same director also made a few other fairytale movies which also have wonderful soundtracks: "Desideria and the Ring of the Dragon", "Pirates: Blood Brothers" or "The Princess and the Pauper".

I'd also love to see more Martial Arts themed programs. Actually, a few Bruce Lee movies have decent soundtracks like "Enter the Dragon".
