ita, she looked so much better
I feel like I'm in a dream. But it can't be a dream because there are no boy dancers!

Well it's not like she has a make-up artist travelling with her to competitions.

I don't mind her make-up, so much, at competitions. But, I do wish she'd get rid of the hair bump. It distorts her face.

.. Oh god .. now I feel old . I loved Billy Dee in "Mahogany" and also "Lady Sings the Blues" about Billie Holiday.

    ETA: Thanks aliceanne for remembering!

She played Will Bailey's (played by Joshua Malina) sister (or was it step-sister?). It wasn't a big role but she did 5 or 6 episodes.

I thought her dancing was great but she was freaking out so much after the dance was over she was speaking to Erin Andrews at warp speed.

Really, everyone had a fantastic first dance with the exception of Billy Dee, and I can't hold that against him due to his age, but I seriously wonder how he got talked into doing the show if he has such limited movement due to his arthritis and hip replacements.

Meryl and Charlie were fantastic as we all expected. I did think Meryl was lowballed on her score, but whatever. She'll be around a long time.

I was fortunate enough to see Katherine perform live (at Toller Cranston's farewell show) and have seen a number of video performances over the years. I have to disagree with you. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion

Was that Toller's Broadway show? The one in 1977? I saw it.

This is a rather interesting comment. Ballet and Figure Skating are all about form. Form is their substance.

As far as ice dancers, Naomi Lang, Morgan Matthews and Emily Samuelson have the best toe point I've ever seen.
Don't forget Maya Usova - queen of the toe point and bane of Esta's existence. Uncle Dick always commented on her fabulous toe point.

I think victorskid is referring to Cranston's farewell in Toronto sometime in the late 90s.
