Sending Aaron and C. Denney/Coughlin to Worlds, but not Nagasu? This is so wrong!

Did Denney/Coughlin pass on 4CC? Given they aren't going to the Olympics, it would make sense for them to get an easy medal there. Strange.

I see Razzano got passed over Rippon for 4CC.

about Brown being dumped from the Worlds team.

Looks like Aaron got Worlds instead of 4CCs. (or he passed on it like Wagner did 4 years ago)

I think they fully expect Abbott to retire after Sochi and want a World Team of Brown and Aaron. But if they name the World Team as Abbott and Brown now, it would look like Aaron has no assignment for the rest of the season despite coming 3rd at Nationals.

So what's the explanation about Nagasu not getting Worlds? US figure skating just hates her?

Edmunds has beaten Nagasu at Nationals and had higher scores so far this season. I don't see any reason to pick Nagasu over her. If anyone should get bumped off the Worlds team, it's Wagner, who bombed US Nationals.

If they're giving Aaron and Denney/Coughlin worlds, give worlds to Mirai!

Talk about controversial picks for Worlds! D/C over Z/B and Aaron over Brown yet no Nagasu over Wagner or Edmunds.. The retire message has been delivered to Mirai..

Congrats on Cesario, Farris and Rippon making 4CCs. Looks to be easy medals for them.

The Junior ladies team makes sense. Too bad none of the age eligible ladies who skated in seniors (aside from Edmunds) scored better than the top 2 juniors did.

I was rooting for Cain to have some sort of assignment (4CCs) after the strong fall season and short program she had but... Hope she gets some senior Bs / GPs next season since she scored reasonably well internationally earlier this season.

Razzano and Miner. And this is justifiable, I feel, given Rippon's GP results.

THIS. I feel terrible for Mirai. She just barely missed out on a medal at the last Olympics and now, despite medaling at Nationals, they pass her over for the Olympics. Then, just to rub salt in the wound, they deny her a spot at Worlds while naming others to the World team even though they didn't even place in one of the top spots at Nationals.

I would have had Nagasu on the world team.

Scores at non-ISU international events don't count towards GP selection.

Okay, now I'm angry. They let Aaron and D/C have worlds, but NOT Mirai? Now they are just being mean.

I supported their decision to put Wagner on the Olympic team, but wish they had given Nagasu worlds. Throw her a bone, at least.

I know they are concerned about earning 3 spots again. But Gold and Edmunds should be hungry, for Gold a possible medal, and for Edmunds, a 1st crack at Worlds (you never know when you will get another shot at Worlds....just look at Mirai).

Just a wild guess - was the world team selection announcement made before or after news broke out that she might be appealing the USFS' decision after talking to Weir?

I am pretty sure it was after.
