I assumed they meant "general surgeon". I hope her wedding dress is as stunning as the one she modeled in the video Ziggy posted.

Poor Fumie. Now she's losing to Shizuka again in life.

I kind of know what you are trying to say, but it would be better to say something like "losing to Shizuka again, this time in the marriage sweepstakes," than that she is losing in life. Some people don't consider not marrying young, or at all, as a measurement of losing in life, and those who do feel inferior for being single only feel more so due to remarks such as your posting. (I didn't marry until age 50, and though I didn't feel other "old" single people were inferior to others, I considered myself defective somehow because I'd not married.)

Congratulations Shizuka! Here's a photo of her wedding Kimono.
Maybe she wore it for taking pics only as her wedding date is not told.
Anyway, she looks like a Japanese princess.

Totally unnecessary and completely idiotic comment in a happy thread about a young woman's engagement. It's nothing to do with Fumie.

Wishing lovely Shizuka and her fiancé much happiness!

The article makes it sound like she met him randomly in the street in March, kissed him, and is now marrying him... Congrats!

I often think of certain skaters as being beautiful, for Shizuka you can definitely add 'Elegant'!

Congrats to Mrs.Shizuka. Happy for her that she met and was not afraid to kiss her Dr.Frog in public.

Why can't something like this ever happen to ME?

Oh, Well. I wish one of the loveliest ladies in figure skating history a long and happy life with her husband.
