    Skating to My Fair Lady

Loved Davis & White's new My Fair Lady Short Dance at Skate America. They and their team have done an extremely good job of melding together, I Could Have Danced All Night, With a Little Bit of Luck, and Get Me to the Church on Time, into a beautifully constructed and choreographed program (Finnstep pattern dance - foxtrot, quickstep, foxtrot).

Although not as popular as other musical choices, My Fair Lady has been used on a number of occasions for constructing a program around. So, what are your favourites? Please provide a video link if possible.

Here are some of my favourites:-

Meryl Davis & Charlie White - 2013/14 Short Dance (2013 Skate America)

Marina Klimova & Sergei Ponomarenko - 1989/90 Free Dance (1990 World Championships)

Ekaterina Riazanova & Ilia Tkachenko - 2012/13 Short Dance (2013 World Championships)

Oksana Baiul - 1992/93 & 1993/94 Free Skate - A Medley of Broadway Show Tunes (1994 Olympics) - The first part of the medley is The Rain in Spain from My Fair Lady

Kamilla Gainetdinova & Ivan Bich - 2011/12 Short Program (2012 Junior World Championships)

Sasha Cohen - I Could Have Danced All Night

Tara Lipinski - I Could Have Danced All Night

It could be further enhanced, but so far Meryl and Charlie are on the role. It's fast, fluid, controlled, and clean. Can't wait to see the improvements in 2 weeks--NHK.

I think you covered them all, Maofan. I have not seen Sasha and Tara's skates to 'I could have danced all night'.

A male skater could probably create a program with 'On the street where you live' and follow it by 'Get me to the church on time'. I can't think of any man skating to MFL music.

Noone was better than Klimova and Ponamarenko.

ITA. They had it all- technical perfection & difficulty, speed, musical interpretation.

I don't think I ever got to see Sasha's all the way through, and I wanted to SO MUCH. Loved Tara's. There are a lot of these I haven't seen, but I'll go through the links later. Thanks!

If I were a skater, I would totally skate to MFL. And maybe also Camelot and Gigi. I've always been crazy about Lerner and Loewe.

I watched Meryl & Charlie's program. It is simply wonderful and delightful.
That is what you call an Olympic program. It is special. I wish an American lady would skate to that.

I wish we could have seens Cohen's My Fair Lady program all the way though. She only did it once right? I seem to remember it being a casualty of the fallout between her and Robin Wagner.

She did it on the Champions on Ice Tour with the hat, coat, and basket of flowers, which she took off as her number took off.
