NBC Broadcast of 2013 Skate Canada on Sunday, Oct. 27

It's scheduled today from 4-6 pm Eastern after the live soccer game.

    Johnny Weir will be commentating.

ETA: I expect to see the FS of the men's medalists, maybe Brezina's because Weir trained with him, plus Abbott's FS & hopefully Farris' from the first group; FS of ladies' medalists (maybe Gold's SP or at least highlights), plus Gao's FS and hopefully Hicks' 7-triple FS even though she skated first. Virtue/Moir's FD and 15 seconds of the pairs if we're lucky.

Hm. I like Gracie and she skated the SP well, but I don't like that SP.

I like Gold's SP. Yay that NBC is showing Hicks' FS!

I am watching now. I can't say I will last thru the men's bloodbath but I want to hear Johnny's commentary.

I think Tara meant perfunctory. I thought I heard perfunctionary. Anyone else?

^^I heard "mechanical.....needs refinement." I agree with all of it. And that hair looks even worse today in HD than yesterday.

Its not just that Dave/Jenny in their commentary said it well. Other skaters look nervous when they jump, Courtney looks nervous during footwork...She's baubling on cross overs.

Um, not sure it's a good thing to have to grow to like a program.
It gets better though, the first part really is too heavy for Christina IMO.

I haven't seen any skating from SC yet; excited to see on my parents' big-ass TV.

I actually feel that program shows a lot of her faults... The not so great posture etc. She should make the team over someone like Hicks.

Wow, Lipnitskaia ! And I want that dress. It would look horrible on me, but it's gorgeous.

Waiting for Tara to compare her 2A to Julia's... Waiting, still waiting...

Oh Tara. Don't you know it's too early for the "when I skated" drinking game?

I'm watching skating with my sister. She does not understand the whole fall thing and is arguing with me over scoring. Grrrrrrrrr.

Gracie was behind Hanyu in the checkout line at Michaels. Those rhinestone cobwebs across her chest and back are cringeworthy.
