    Thanks for the well-wishes!

I had a productive weekend: 15,110 words. I seriously doubt I can keep that pace up, but I'm glad to have a surplus for now.

I'm behind again, only at 5447. I tried to force myself to write yesterday but my brain kinda went "fizzle!" and nothing happened. Oops.

I only have 1500 so far, but I feel like I'm starting to get to know my main character, so it's time well spent. Finished work for the day, so off to write now for an hour!

I'm using my enforced week off with wisdom teeth to catch up. I've written 8300 words today for a total of 16,946. I'm still behind but one more huge effort like today and I'll be ahead again - and I still have all of the week off!

Well done, and hope your wisdom teeth recovery goes smoothly.

I just broke 40K yesterday. I'm still going to be nowhere near finished with the story when I hit 50K, though.

I haven't reached the end of Chapter 1 yet. So, in short, this isn't going so well. Lesson learned: never release a book and try to do NaNo at the same time.

Before wisdom teeth I had only 5700-odd words.

After yesterday and today I am on par at 23368!!!

I've passed the 25,000 half-way point, and managed to insert skating into my story.

Over 25,000...and my characters may have just gone skating on a frozen pond.

I'll probably pass 30,000 in an hour or so, and after way too many pots of coffee (yes, it does happen!) have moved to citrus tea. My friends have started challenging me to include certain things in my novel: today someone spitting a drink in someone else's face OR spilling a drink over someone, a cat in a tutu, and cupcake eating. Two out of three done...the dressed up cat is still clawing her (or his) way in...

I passed 50K on Thursday, though the story itself is nowhere near finished. Last night I had to kill off a character I really liked and was actually about it.

I completed my novel draft this weekend. And I stayed up until midnight just so I could get my NaNo winner badge and post it to Facebook.

I just hit 50,195 at three minutes to midnight on Day 27! I wrote over 6000 words today without ever intending to, which is pretty cool.

(Now to transfer that level of writing-ness to my other tasks...)
