October 19th is not my birthday. And I'm single.

It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

Oh, fooey. Sweetest Day is the most made-up holiday ever.

I'm just trying to decide what to do for my & dh's 19th anniversary next Tuesday. 19 is so random (and a prime number!!).

We don't celebrate Sweetest Day. We don't even celebrate Valentine's Day, and that is slightly less fake.

    Wikipedia entry

Sweetest Day is a holiday celebrated primarily in the Great Lakes region, and parts of the Northeast United States as well as in Montana, on the third Saturday in October.[1] It is described by Retail Confectioners International as an "occasion which offers all of us an opportunity to remember the sick, aged and orphaned, but also friends, relatives and associates whose helpfulness and kindness we have enjoyed."[2] Sweetest Day has also been referred to as a "concocted promotion" created by the candy industry solely to increase sales of sweets.[3]

    I'm an orphan.

And yes, I usually get candy on Sweetest Day, too.

Just another day to try and make single people feel weird and outcasted from society.

I think dentists would love to have more 'sweetest days'. Bad for teeth good for business.
Nope, first time I heard about such a Day.

In all fairness, there should be a Sour-est Day and Spicy-est Day too.

Actually, Chocolate Day and Potato Chip Day would work for me.

Why a support group? Why not a celebration day?

International Singles Day. Loner Pride Day.

Come on, help me come up with a better title.

    Happy to be single day

(not that I am single but if something happened to Mr halffull I can't imagine I'd look for another).
