Oh my gosh...I've never cried from a 30 second spot before. Next week is going to be rough.

It's been forever since I watched Glee, but I'll be tuning in this week. That promo...I've never been brought to tears by a promo either, but this one did it. Kudos to the cast and crew for getting through the filming of the episode - I'm going to be a wreck just watching it.

All around great episode. The actress who plays Carol (Finn's mom) was particularly exceptional.

    Glee: Season 5

I was hysterical crying watching the scene between Burt and Carol, the entire cast did a great job, you could see the tears were real and you felt their pain.

Apparently, the scene where Santana breaks down during the song wasn't scripted - Naya Rivera couldn't get through the song and they decided to leave it in the show.

So sad... The scenes with Puck and Coach Bieste deserve a mention.

I couldn't read what Puck had written on the side of the tree. I agree the scenes with Puck and Coach were special.

Well, that was thoroughly gutting. Like many viewers I assume, I gave up on Glee awhile ago but tuned in last night. The Hummel/Hudson scene and everything involving Rachel/Lea pretty much broke me, in an ugly-crying sort of way.

    ITA,
    Kudos to all concerned,
It was plain to see that the grief, pain. and love expressed for Cory is real - and lasting.

Lea and Matthew Morrison broke my heart.

    Glee: Season 5

Am I the only one who thought it was strange that Will was the one who took Finn's jacket? I understand that Finn and Will had a father son type relationship but Kurt made it clear the jacket was Santana's and for Will to let everyone assume Puck took it...

Agreed. There were some swollen eyes around our house last night.

I haven't watched Glee for a while, but wanted to tune in for this episode. How utterly heartbreaking, but an appropriate tribute.

I didn't watch, I stopped watching Glee ages ago, how did they explain it?

They didn't. They talked about dealing with his death and celebrated him as a person without saying what Finn died of.

They didn't, the episode took place 3 weeks after the funeral and centered around the Glee club remembering Finn. Kurt's character said in a voice over that how Finn died did not matter, what mattered is how he lived and how they chose to remember him.

I'm another one who had bailed on Glee, and watched just this episode. It seemed very strange that Quinn wasn't a part of it...and Britney was missed, although her stupidity would not have been fitting in with the episode theme I guess. Puck and Biestie made me cry and I cried pretty much through the rest of it.

I knew she wouldn't be on the show as they talked about this on the radio a day or two before the episode aired. This article pretty much summed up what was said on the radio.

If they could put in Sue's nastiness in this episode, they could have put in some Britney silliness. Heather Morris was not in the episode because she would have been seven or eight months pregnant when the episode was filmed. Heather gave birth to a baby boy on September 30th.
It's official. I am madly in love with Meryl Davis.

Thanks, Peter. Brittany was missed, and congratulations to Heather Morris and her newborn son!
